We all had a lovely time. The accommodation was so huge that we could all find space when we wanted that and a communal get-together when desired. Our son-in-law really enjoyed cooking on the Aga and produced some spectacular meals. Needless to say that we all had fun in the pool on sunny days.
Fantastic week! The villa had everything we needed to entertain adults and children. Couldn't have asked for more! Merci.
Thank you for a very memorable two weeks. Our children who are 4 and 7 rate this as the best holiday ever. PS4 and Pool! Pézenas is a beautiful town and we will remember it fondly.
A lovely place, house, garden and holiday. Nyons is a great town to have so nearby. Very relaxed and at peace on departure.
Where to start, we have had such a wonderful week we have loved everything about this house and grounds. It is the best house we have ever hired as a group and Mike and Natalie have gone out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Just to mention a few of the many things we loved about the house, the fantastic swimming pool, the incredible views, the activities provided, the comfortable beds, the beautiful seating areas in and out of the house, the breakfast area, the bathrooms... and of course Myrtle the cat who joined us every morning for breakfast. Best of all it was a fantastic place for Grace and Ken to get engaged to be married! Thank you so much for the opportunity to hire this beautiful home. (This was truly a magical place to get engaged, Grace x)
The Garden Cottage is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous interior, but what really impressed us was it's tranquil location within the owners grounds and the peaceful location of the swimming pool where one can laze of a sunny afternoon or two. The cottage is approximately a 5-10 minute walk into the local village where there is a little shop selling everything to cater for your needs and a hotel restaurant that serve lovely meals at a very reasonable price. This must be tried at least once during your visit. If you fancy a larger shop there are two large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive on the road to Montignac. Montignac is a beautiful town with lovely riverside restaurants. The cottage is ideally located to visit the local sights, whether it be a château such as the local Château de Losse or Château Les Milandes with its beautiful gardens, or pretty towns and villages, our particular favourites being Saint Leon, La Roque Gageac and Domme. Beautiful blue skies every day with temperatures hitting 36 degrees one day. This gave us a perfect excuse to spend some days lounging around by the pool and recharging in the stunning surroundings. So to sum up, with a combination of the cottage, the weather and the perfect hosts we had an amazing week and left feeling pretty sad. However, we know that we will be visiting again, for longer next time as there was still quite a lot we didn't get to see in this beautiful part of France. It was honestly one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you so much, until the next time.
Our stay here was the highlight of our recent trip to the South of France. From the minute we drove through the gates we were impressed by the beautiful gardens, house and pool. It is truly a magnificent French retreat and estate. I couldn't recommend the house more highly and I am already planning another trip there soon.
We've had a wonderful two weeks here - beautiful weather, everything we could possibly need in the gîte and amazing hosts in Meryl and Richard (and Poppy). We brought bikes and had some great cycling days along the route by the canal and further afield for the more energetic member of the family! Lots of beautiful places to visit - some of our favourites were Lauzerte, Moissac, Auvillar, Monatigu de Quercy, Tournon d'Agennais and Pujols. Nice to just wander around and have a good lunch, then come back for a swim in the pool. We had a great night watching France v Belgium in the World Cup semi final in the square in Bourg de Visa. There was a TV screen hanging out of a window above the bar, the flags are out and beer was flowing. Wish we could stay and cheer France in the final! Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Des vacances incroyables dans une propriété incroyable. Nous sommes une famille de 6 adultes et 6 enfants et avons passé des vacances au Domaine de Nérige début mai. Quel régal!!! Sandie et David étaient très accueillants et ont fait déployé tous leurs efforts pour en faire des vacances de rêve. La maison était suffisamment vaste pour que nous puissions tous avoir notre propre espace et la piscine a été un véritable succès une fois que nous avons acheté des combinaisons pour les enfants. La terrasse était super avec le barbecue et c'était agréable de pouvoir manger dehors. La maison avait tout ce que nous aurions pu souhaiter. Il y avait même une réserve de vin et de bière au cas où nous ne voudrions pas nous rendre dans les supermarchés. Sandie a organisé des traitements pour nous avec deux thérapeutes brillants et c'était tellement relaxant. Sandie a également préparé un repas pour un soir et c'était fabuleux. Nous avons même reçu les recettes des plats que nous avions choisis. Superbe région avec beaucoup à faire. Nous avons tous convenu que nous n'aurions jamais pu espérer trouver mieux. Merci Sandie et David.
Ce n'était pas notre première visite à La Barde et encore une fois nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances en famille. La maison possède beaucoup de caractère tout en étant à la fois spacieuse et confortable. La cuisine est bien équipée et les coins salons à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur peuvent accueillir confortablement 10 personnes. Le jardin est magnifique et regorge de plantes et d'arbustes variés et colorés tandis que la piscine est grande et nettoyée régulièrement par le propriétaire. Encore une fois, nous avons profité de belles journées à Saint-Émilion, Brantôme et Cognac pour n'en citer que quelques-unes - et bien sûr d'agréables boissons en soirée à Verteillac. Merci - nous gardons de précieux souvenirs de ces vacances fantastiques !
Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness. We had an amazing time enjoying your beautiful gîte set in beautiful surroundings. Thank you for all the useful times and recommendations. We had a great time exploring the markets at Bergerac, Riberac, Périgueux and Saint-Astier. We enjoyed the sunshine win the terrace with a glass of wine and a good book. Perfect.
At La Picholine, we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!

Wow, what a great place! During our stay there was nothing else we could have wished for. The awesome pool area, the great BBQ, the comfortable (sun)beds and beautiful bathrooms; everything was top notch. Enjoying the local wines, the pretty surroundings and fantastic golf course with our friends made this stay like it should be... Holiday! We hope to come back!
Magnifique maison vigneronne très bien équipée. Le jardin est très bien aménagé avec plusieurs espaces pour se détendre auprès de la piscine. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et réactifs. Je recommande vivement !
Nous ne manquerons pas de recommander cette maison avec tant de caractère et de charme à toute notre famille et nos amis en Australie et en Angleterre. Nous y avons passé un moment merveilleux.
The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cascaret. It was beyond our expectations and Susan was a delightful host, even doing some shopping for us before we arrived. We would definitely recommend Pure France and Cascaret to any client of yours.
Here we are again! The Loft and it’s setting never loses its WOW! factor; we have had yet another ( fifth ) visit, having enjoyed the garden, pool, local area and not least your wonderful hospitality. Thank you so much - an oasis of calm in the Covid-19 storm! The measures you have taken to protect guests have been executed with your usual discretion and thoroughness, allowing us to truly relax.
Merci beaucoup Sharon, ce fut un endroit merveilleux où séjourner. Belle maison spacieuse. Jardin paisible et magnifiquement entretenu, nous avons même vu un sphinx colibri. Village paisible, sympathique et pittoresque. Des paysages magnifiques, parfaits pour courir dans les collines. Piscine immaculée, super pour les enfants, avec douche + toilettes. Cuisine entièrement équipée + buanderie Améliorations potentielles : oreillers et couettes synthétiques facilement disponibles (l'un de nous a fait une réaction à l'oreiller + couette en duvet) et trajet plus court depuis le Royaume-Uni ??? Ce fut des vacances fabuleuses - exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. J'adorerais revenir. Je recommande complètement.
What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. Thank you Katie for letting us share your French home.
A fantastic place to be, hosts are very friendly and helpful. The gîtes are beautiful decorated and the view is stunning. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to book this beautiful domaine for a holiday again. I wrote a comment in the guestbook to encourage other people to spend their vacation at La Picholine.

Just a quick note to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday at Mas de Lozanne. Beautiful house, well looked after, close to the fabulous town of Pézenas with some brilliant weather. Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite dans cette magnifique maison. Autant nous avons adoré sortir et nous promener, autant nous avons adoré passer des journées paresseuses autour de la piscine - cela a été un véritable défi de la laisser ! Nous y sommes parvenus à quelques reprises et entre nous, les temps forts ont été de vraies balades à vélo sur des routes de campagne tranquilles, l'exploration de belles petites villes aux alentours, la visite incontournable d'un château (Chenonceau est un must - arrivez tôt) et bien sûr, le simple fait d'être en France. Merci de nous avoir permis d'entrer dans votre maison très spéciale - vous êtes des hôtes charmants et j'espère que nos chemins se croiseront à nouveau à l'avenir. Merci beaucoup!
Simon and Nicholas have provided a wonderful holiday experience from start to finish. The house is amazing – very luxurious. We spent most of the time by the pool, in the pool house. It was a great base to explore the area – lots to see and do. We loved the night time tour of Châteaux Hautefort, we definitely recommend it. The pastries from the shop in the village were lovely – we ordered them every day! Simon and Nicholas were really helpful and provided help and advice when needed. The made our holiday really special.
We have had a fantastic stay in this fabulous property and wanted to say how much we loved The Loft! It was everything we had expected and more; it is fantastically equipped and we wanted for nothing. Karen and Russell are excellent hosts and we hope to stay here again in the future. A huge thank you for making us feel so welcome, we've had a wonderful week in your beautiful property. This has been by far the best house we have stayed in, full of history, character and the personal touch. The pool has been amazing. Evening barbecues have been the highlight. Your kind gift of wine, beers and charcuterie set us up well for the week.
