Fantastic holiday - very many thanks. We come to France a lot and this is one of the best places we've stayed in. The weather has been very kind to us all! Restaurant recommendations all very good - we tried as many as we could. Particularly good were La Maison at Tourbes and L'Entre Pots. We need to come back again and try the rest. Many thanks again.
De belles vacances reposantes dans une belle propriété dans une région fantastique. La livraison du pain le matin était particulièrement bienvenue et le pain lui-même excellent ! Nous avons essayé toutes les recommandations de restaurants de M. Marty et n'avons pas été déçus. Le paysage fabuleux visible de tous les coins de la maison va particulièrement nous manquer !
Nous avons passé deux semaines merveilleuses à Sarlat. Sarlat et ses environs ont beaucoup à offrir. Nous avons apprécié les marchés locaux, une excursion au Château des Milandes et bien sûr une descente en canoë sur la Dordogne. L'emplacement de la maison est incroyable, à seulement quelques minutes à pied du centre. La première semaine de notre séjour, la température était de 30 degrés et la piscine était un véritable régal - un véritable point fort pour nous, nous avons passé de nombreuses heures à nous détendre et à profiter du beau temps. La maison elle-même était super et a répondu à tous nos besoins pour deux semaines de vacances. Merci Jackie pour toute ton aide. Nous reviendrons bientôt.
Logement très agréable entre amis ou en famille. De beaux espaces et un accueil chaleureux. Véronique s'est par ailleurs montrée arrangeante et réactive, merci beaucoup !
A true oasis to return to everyday. Our first villa holiday as a family and we absolutely loved it.
Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce magnifique château. Le cadre est splendide et les équipements sont impeccables. Les enfants ont adoré la grande piscine, et surtout le plongeoir. Nous serions ravis de revenir. Merci.
This beautifully maintained property is less than two hours outside of Paris. We never wanted to leave the grounds, there is everything to keep the kids happy: miles to run, pool, tennis and playhouse. We adults lazed all day by the pool while the children run happy and wild on the enclosed grounds. The owner gave us wonderful recommendations for off the beaten path wine tastings. Make sure she shows you the mill across the stream where they make the best croissants and bread. The layout of the château allows for several families to enjoy a vacation together, while maintaining peaceful, private moments. Best family vacation ever.
Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique tous les 13, une superbe propriété pour une grande famille avec de jeunes enfants, la propriétaire a été charmante et tout s'est bien passé.
This is my second visit to the beautiful ‘Rusty Shears gite’ hosted by Kirstie and Russell. From the outset our stay was just perfect. We were made very welcome and even had welcome drinks upon arrival. This was a special visit for my mums birthday and Kirstie even baked a cake, which was absolutely delicious. The gite is immaculately presented and the interior is simply gorgeous, with sumptuous cushions, uniquely bespoke painted furniture and house plants that compliment the gite’s luxurious eclectic style. The outside space is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the nature that surrounds the outside space. They have thought of everything; an outside eating area, complete with overhead sails to stay in the shade, corner sofa area complete with parasol to stay in or out of the shade, a bbq area with small outside prep area, hot tub and even 4 sun loungers. The location is set in the countryside so expect to drive or cycle to the local vineyards and restaurants but rest assured Kirstie and Russell can recommend plenty of places of interest and even arrange cycle hire or restaurant bookings if preferred. All in all a really tranquil long weekend away that offered us plenty of tasty local food, vineyard visits, rest and relaxation in the sunshine. If you’re an animal lover then you’ll also appreciate Kirstie’s love of animals too and if you’re lucky you’ll get to taste a freshly laid egg from ’Cluckingham palace!’ A truly wonderful space and warm welcome that will encourage you to return. A gem of a holiday find - we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Kirstie and Russell for your hospitality during our stay at Rusty Shears gite and for making great memories!
After driving through France, it was lovely to arrive at your beautiful house. The weather has been perfect and we have chilled by the swimming pool. We have visited many of the surrounding villages and gazed at the breathtaking views from the top of the mountains. We really don't want to begin our journey back and will certainly recommend to others. Thank you.
Fabuleuse location de vacances pour la famille et les amis. 10 d'entre nous ont récemment séjourné ici pour une pause en groupe. Nous n'aurions pas pu rêver d'un meilleur endroit où séjourner. Les propriétaires étaient très serviables et arrangeants, ils ont vraiment fait de cet endroit un endroit spécial. La maison est joliment meublée et confortable, les jardins sont magnifiques et il y a beaucoup à faire dans la région aussi si vous ne voulez pas simplement vous détendre au bord de la piscine en profitant du soleil. Je le recommande vivement.
We would like to very highly recommend this grand idillic property in the tranquil rural setting of the Lot Valley. The quietness and peacefulness of the house and grounds is the perfect place to completely unwind, to read, draw, play boules, table tennis or relax with the family by the poolside area. The market town of Villeréal was particularly vibrant and trips into the Dordogne to Beynac for example is only an hour away. There is an abundance of local wines and vineyards to visit with exquisite cheeses and bread from the local markets. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We have returned totally refreshed and relaxed!
Superbe maison pour des couples d'amis ou familles avec enfants. Chacune des chambres a sa salle de bain et WC, il y a des jeux de sociétés, des vélos... et elle est au calme.

We had a great time exploring the markets at Bergerac, Riberac, Périgueux and Saint-Astier. We enjoyed the sunshine win the terrace with a glass of wine and a good book. Perfect.
Absolutely delightful rural but cosy atmosphere with everything you need. Well equipped - sunshine by the pool and warmth by the fire when the evening cooled. Already looking to secure dates for next year.
We had an amazing stay! The beds were very comfortable and the pool is incredible! Lunch time on the terrace was a highlight as it's so peaceful. Overall the stay was absolutely incredible and we loved every minute we were here.

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique à la Maison Brunet malgré la canicule. Nous sommes allés explorer de belles bastides et savourer une cuisine délicieuse sur les marchés locaux. C'était agréable de rentrer après une journée chaude et de se rafraîchir dans la piscine.
We are finally home and now reflecting on happy memories of our wonderful holiday in France and particularly our 10 nights spent here. Where do we begin to ever thank you for all that you did and for making our holiday so special. We felt like we had our own personal butler looking after us throughout our stay. Even prior to our arrival we welcomed the emails, the ease of booking and then promptly replying to any query that we had , as well as the phone call to offer help and support the week before we were scheduled to arrive. We really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies and all the other little things that you had thoughtfully put in the fridge, making our arrival into the gîte a very warm and welcome one. Your 'blood, sweat and tears' have truly paid off as we could see the attention to detail that has gone in to making this a luxury gîte for your guests. We noticed the quality of furnishings and fittings, bed linen, sumptuous soft towels and then separate towels laid out for us by the pool, all of which made for an exciting stay ahead! The beds were extremely comfortable and accompanied by the peace and tranquility at night meant we both woke each morning feeling fully refreshed! We particularly enjoyed our time spent around the swimming pool and also using the outdoor kitchen/BBQ. Everything was spotlessly clean and we know that you ensured the pool area was cleaned down for us every morning. We were blessed with good weather too. The views from the terrace were stunning and we never tired from sitting there overlooking the local Cuzorn area and the valley beyond. It was a pleasure getting to know you and hearing about your journey from Essex to Lot-et-Garonne. For us, as first guests it was a privilege staying at Lasserre and we will be talking about you and our holiday for years to come. I equally hope that for you and Kate your first guests did not let you down and we have left a wonderful impression on you too! We sincerely hope that you are rewarded for the fruits of your labour and whilst we would like you to have a busy season, just secretly we would like to keep this little bit of heaven purely for us!
We are sad to leave this lovely château after such a great holiday. The heatwave was unexpected but the pool kept us cool. Melissa and Charlotte were lovely and have kept the château very clean and tidy. The château was very well equipped and we were all very relaxed here. I loved walking into the village to the boulangerie each morning to buy breakfast and have a coffee on the way back! Najac is beautiful and we hope to return. Had a great holiday. Thank you x
We have had a wonderful time in this super villa. Very relaxing. Collioure is still as pretty as ever, we had our honeymoon here 20 years ago!

Je n'écris pas souvent d'avis, mais si je pouvais mettre 10 étoiles, je le ferais. La Charmante Distillerie est tout simplement incroyable. Mark et Gary sont des personnes chaleureuses, gentilles et authentiques qui se surpassent pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable. Je suis très exigeante en matière de propreté et je peux honnêtement dire que cette maison est vraiment la plus propre que j'aie jamais visitée, le souci du détail est exceptionnel. Les lits sont les plus confortables que j'aie jamais utilisés et il y a tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin, et plus encore. La piscine chauffée était magnifique, le terrain de pétanque extérieur nous a amusés, adultes et enfants. Le Wi-Fi est excellent. De nombreux espaces salon et repas confortables sont situés dans le magnifique parc, avec la campagne et la forêt environnantes. Nous avons veillé tard chaque soir pour observer les étoiles, ce qui en valait vraiment la peine. Un merci en particulier à Mark et Gary pour avoir été les meilleurs hôtes que j'aie jamais eu le plaisir de rencontrer.

Après avoir visité quelques villes locales, Pézenas était notre préférée et nous étions si heureux de pouvoir séjourner si près. De très belles vacances dans cette maison et cette region du Var. Très bonne communication avec la propriétaire et accueil personnalisé pour que l'on trouve la maison. Parking facile pour 2 voitures. Merci pour les boissons au frigo à l'arrivée ! Très belle piscine, une vue magnifique, nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette maison très fonctionnelle.
