Breathtaking. What a hidden gem! All the fotos of Château Velouse do not do the place justice. From the minute you enter the gates and see this magnificent château, glowing in the sunshine at the end of a sweeping drive, you know you are in for a treat. Our wonderful hosts. Claire and Phil greeted us and gave us a tour of the main building and grounds. The interior is exquisitely appointed. All the rooms are large and meticulously clean. The bedrooms are huge and comfortable without being over-fussy. The bathroom - lion clawed bath and walk-in shower - what more could you ask for after a hard day sitting beside the spotlessly clean and well-maintained outdoor pool. There's plenty of places within an hour to explore close by, so if sun-worshipping isn't your thing, like me, go to Bourges and wander around this medieval city, All in all, Château Velouse is an experience I'll never forget and one I hope to revisit
We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in this beautiful house in divine location. The garden is filled with wildlife and we've enjoyed many an hour listening to the birds and watching the bumblebees and butterflies. My recommendation would be to sit back, relax and just take it all in.
We have just arrived back from Maison Palatini and we all had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful in such a quiet place and yet minutes from the town centre. The pool is wonderful. My Grand daughters were never out of it! I would also like to say that Andrew and Sharman were most helpful and such nice people. Thank you so much.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines incroyables ici. Honnêtement, cette maison est magnifique. Les couchers de soleil ici ne ressemblent à aucun autre. Je recommanderais de visiter les producteurs de vin locaux, de faire du vélo à travers les vignobles et d'explorer la région. Nous avons également visité de nombreux marchés dans la montagne et sommes allés assister au feu d'artifice du 14 juillet. J'adorerais revenir bientôt !
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The private, secluded setting was just what we needed. We used th eoutdoor kitchen all the time, such a wonderful addition to the property. We will be back!

We had a lovely two weeks in this beautiful old French farmhouse with its heavenly views and surrounded in wonderful countryside. We have spent most of our time in the garden, playing bolles, swimming, water ball, table tennis and using the pool table, enjoying leisurely meals on the terrace with great views. Trips out to Vaison la Romain, daily trips to the boulangie, wonderful walks, some brilliant bike rides for children and adults alike. We have seen some wonderful wildlife around the area, geckos, cicadas etc. We are sad to leave but hope to return one day.
Thank you for such a friendly welcome and a special thanks to Michael for all of his help throughout our stay. Favourite Moment: Staying in the pool in the afternoons with wildlife, cheese and wine for dinner! Places We Recommend: Leclerc Supermarket for groceries and all the nearby villages previously mentioned.
It's been an absolute cracker. The house is a joy and the pool has been the centre of our stay. We've loved exploring the local area, particularly the beach side lunch in Cannes and wild afternoon at the inflatable waterpark at the lake.
Many thanks for a wonderful week, we have so enjoyed this lovely house and the beautiful area around it, we wish we had more than a week to see more of what we wanted, we enjoyed the circular walk through the mixed pine forest, it’s very pretty and only 2 km long. We loved l Auberge du petit bistro in Vinsobres (a 2/3 minute drive), this was our favourite eating experience, while Vaison la Romain was lovely to visit. Many thanks for bringing us to all these wonderful experiences.
Vous pouvez toujours continuer à rechercher d'autres maisons de vacances dans le sud de la France, mais cela n'en vaut pas la peine. Merci aux propriétaires pour deux semaines de vacances parfaites dans leur charmante maison, où rien ne manque.
Nous y avons passé de superbes vacances ! La demeure est vraiment belle.
Absolument rien à dire. Prestation de qualité et personnes charmantes et dévouées. Je vous conseille cet endroit avec un point de vue à vous couper le souffle. Maison de qualité meublée avec beaucoup de charme et de gout.
Nous tenons à vous dire combien nous avons apprécié La Cigalière. La maison et la piscine étaient agréables. Charlotte a été très serviable et tout était parfait pour nos vacances. Nous venons en France depuis près de 20 ans et nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans cette villa. Merci pour ces belles vacances.
Le chalet est idéalement situé et à proximité de toutes les commodités et activités. Nous avons adoré l’accueil chaleureux de Patrice les bons conseils sur la Vallée et les lieux à ne pas manquer. Le chalet est un havre de paix, parfaitement équipé et intelligemment agencé pour passer d’agréables moments en famille. Des petits aux grands, nous nous sommes sincèrement régalés et chacun y a trouvé son bonheur. Nous avons également apprécié l’attention qui nous était réservée à notre arrivée et avec laquelle nous nous sommes régalés. Nous reviendrons !
We have been staying here with our grown up children who have not been to this area before, and have loved the house and the area. The weather has been so hot! So we really appreciated the wonderful pool. A great kitchen which we have used extensively and adore having every meal outside. Thank you for your help and your lovely house.
C'est avec le cœur lourd que notre famille de 3 générations quitte ce lieu merveilleux et magique ! Nous avons passé une semaine ici et nous sommes tous d'accord pour dire que ce n'était pas assez long ! Par où je commence? Le château lui-même est vraiment magnifique et avoir la chance de séjourner dans un château avec une vue magnifique est un rêve devenu réalité. Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreux endroits au fil des ans et pouvons constater que beaucoup de réflexion a été menée pour en faire un lieu de vacances aussi confortable pour tous, y compris les tout-petits. Nous espérons revenir! En attendant, un grand merci à Henrietta pour toute son aide avant et pendant notre séjour. Elle a même organisé l'achat d'un nouveau lit pour notre petit-fils de 3 ans. Très attentionné et bien au-delà du sens du devoir.

We absolutely loved our time here. The owner was a joy to work with. The home was absolutely charming. It was located on a picturesque hill, featured spacious, comfortable rooms and every luxury one would need while there. The home was spotless upon our arrival and the neighbors on the street were extremely helpful, pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed swimming in the crisp, cool pool; hearing the church bells ring and exploring the neighboring villages as we attending the daily farmer's markets. We cannot wait to come back and are considering an extended stay as we fell in love with the area and this home. I would highly recommend it if you would like to truly experience the people and feel of the region.

I stayed in this stunning house in May this year. It is beautifully presented and very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It has the added benefits of an outdoor swimming pool and a games room. The owner has gone to great lengths to make this a home away from home! It hides behind pretty old stone walls, just a few steps from the centre of the beautiful historic town of Pezenas. I am looking forward to returning in the future!
Dear owners of Le Grand Mas de Valcros. We have just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your home. From the pictures we knew it was going to be a nice villa. However when we walked in we realised it gem! There is really nothing we did not like about your house. Its feels like home to us after one week and it made our family vacation even more precious. We certainly hope to be back in the future!
L'endroit est absolument magnifique, les photos ne lui rendent pas suffisamment justice. Le terrain est spacieux, il y a un immense jardin avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin en termes de piscine, barbecue, aire de jeux, etc. Vous avez votre propre allée et un parking couvert.
The property was everything we were hoping for and more. It's simple yet beautifully done out inside. The outdoor areas are great, particularly the pool. It's so well designed for a family holiday. The local village is so cute and the hotel restaurant great too. And obviously the local wine was delicious too! Couldn't have asked for more.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour ici, en particulier le temps passé dans le magnifique jardin où nous avons profité du temps magnifique et où nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés - très agréable pour mon enfant de 5 ans ! De plus, l'odeur parfumée des fleurs fraîches était extrêmement accueillante et apportait une touche spéciale. We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!
