La maison est géniale, chaque chambre possède son indépendance en terme de douche et WC. Elle est très spacieuse et bien fournie: un billard, Ping pong, barbecue, rétroprojecteur, énorme cuisine/bar très bien équipée et piscine (non chauffée). L’hôtesse d’accueil est très sympa.
Private pool in perfect surroundings. Maison Meunier is a great little find. I stayed in the larger house last year so was excited to return to the area. Inside there are 2 good sized bedrooms, clean bathroom and kitchen with full facilities and a stylish and spacious living and dining area. And then there is the outside...! There is a beautiful pergola covered terrace with BBQ which is perfect for al fresco dining and evening chats over a bottle of wine (from the local vineyard of course). The pool has stunning views over fruit trees, the fishing lake and forest covered hills in the background. It feels very private and isn't overlooked. The pool is immaculate and perfect size for playing / floating / chilling. The pool area also has sun loungers and a covered portion for the shade seekers. The area of Saint Front-Sur-Lemance is beautiful. Very sleepy and laid back but has all the best necessary amenities within a 5 minute walk (shop, cafe, Albert's pub) or 10 - 15 minute drive (Blanquefort-sur-Briolance for moules frites at Auberge des Moulins or Fumel for bigger shops and 25m outdoor pool). The owners are great hosts; not intrusive but always nearby to provide advice or help if needed. We can't wait to return next year.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à Richelieu. La maison est extrêmement élégante et avait tout le nécessaire. La piscine et les espaces de divertissement à l'extérieur étaient excellents. C'était une maison fantastique.
What a most wonderful place to stay. We were with a group of great friends. Didn't know what to expect... but Château Entre-Deux-Mers was mind blowing! The owner had been informing us correctly with all the necessary information we needed in advance. We have enjoyed the beautiful decorated château from the beginning till the end. It is the proof of how a classical building can be reinvented by a good decorator. The kitchen, dining room, living room and all the rooms with their bathrooms were beautiful. The dinner and the breakfast we ordered, were delicious. And the service was elegant and discrete. A true recommendation to go again!
Je voulais juste dire à quel point nous avons apprécié nos vacances à la villa. Elle était impeccable et parfaitement située pour accéder au supermarché, à la pâtisserie, aux plages et à de nombreux restaurants de qualité et à quelques pas de la gare - que nous avons fréquentée la plupart du temps pour aller visiter d'autres stations balnéaires. La villa était considérablement plus grande que ce à quoi nous nous attendions et était bien équipée pour notre séjour. L'emplacement résidentiel calme était un avantage après des journées bien remplies. Dans l’ensemble, c’est une propriété parfaite. Merci beaucoup.
Where to start, we have had such a wonderful week we have loved everything about this house and grounds. It is the best house we have ever hired as a group and Mike and Natalie have gone out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Just to mention a few of the many things we loved about the house, the fantastic swimming pool, the incredible views, the activities provided, the comfortable beds, the beautiful seating areas in and out of the house, the breakfast area, the bathrooms... and of course Myrtle the cat who joined us every morning for breakfast. Best of all it was a fantastic place for Grace and Ken to get engaged to be married! Thank you so much for the opportunity to hire this beautiful home. (This was truly a magical place to get engaged, Grace x)
An amazing house with the best swimming pool we have ever seen! 16 of us stayed in this lovely house for 2 weeks as we took the little gîte as well. We had a fabulous holiday. You have to drive up through fields of sunflowers to get there – a great welcome. We had loads of children but the pool is so big they spent the whole time doing acrobatics in it – and there was still room for us adults, when we managed to peel ourselves off the sun loungers. Evenings were spent playing tennis on the courts in the house grounds, BBQs, or local restaurants.

Thank you so very much Benjy, Kate and Issy for welcoming us to the property. We have had the most heavenly week here and we leave feeling thoroughly relaxed. The lands, vineyards and pool are all spectacular and a fabulous location for a group of friends. The weather has been glorious and to be honest, it has been quite difficult to drag ourselves away from the house and pool… However, we did venture to Fontevraud (which we loved), and we discovered a couple of the local markets. We were very grateful for the small touches that made our stay special – the beautiful turn of the winery, the supplies of food (and drinks!) and the comfy beds and copious linen and towels. We also enjoyed cooking on the Aga – risotto, roast chicken etc. Delicious food to accompany your STUNNING wine! We very much hope to return one day.
Tres belle maison, parfaite pour un grand groupe de personnes comme le notre (10+, plusieurs familles). Tout est là pour les enfants! Hôtes tres accueillants qui ont répondu immédiatement lorsqu'il y avait une demande. En bordure d'un beau petit village, la majorité des choses à faire sont à environ 30-45 minutes de la maison. Nous avons eu un très beau séjour
De retour chez nous je voulais tout simplement vous remercier vivement pour l’accueil exceptionnel que vous nous avez réservé lors de notre long weekend à Maureilhan. Comme on vous l’a dit ce matin, on s’est régalé à la Maison des Communes – et on a beaucoup apprécié votre générosité hors normes. Avec repas au restaurant, plateau de fromages, vin et viennoiseries, cela frôlait l’incroyable. Certainement, nous n’avons jamais avant profité d’une telle largesse lors d’une location en France, en GB ou ailleurs. Et comme vous le savez bien, votre maison est tout aussi remarquable, avec un brassage de styles et d’ambiances qui la rend aussi intéressante que luxueuse et accueillante. On n’avait vraiment pas envie de partir ce matin ... Donc, un grand merci une fois de plus et, je l’espère, à bientôt.
Des vacances fantastiques et nous adorerions y retourner. Le marché nocturne de Lacapelle un incontournable, ainsi que Parc en Ciel, le kayak à Vitrac et bien sûr la piscine.
Thank you so much for having us and being such wonderful hosts. We've all had such a brilliant time and it really has felt like a home from home. Kit (5 years old) is really going to miss his daily swim, it's been so nice to see his confidence grow. I'm sure we'll be back !
La chose somme toute incroyable de cette maison, c'est que l'on s'y sent chez soi très vite. Nous sommes comme dans un cocon, magnifique, reposant, vivifiant. Nous avons passé ici 15 jours incroyables, des vacances que nous garderons en souvenir durant des années. Des coins étonnants, une mer enivrante, des découvertes enrichissantes, et une bande d'amis qui se sont rapprochés grâce à ce cadre. Cette villa est d'une beauté et d'une qualité incroyable, le cadre époustouflant entre la vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil sur les Cévennes, la piscine chauffée disponible à toute heure du hour et de la nuit ajoute encore une excellence au cadre. Nous sommes ici au calme bien que nous ayons tout ce qu'il faut autour, notamment à Béziers, au Cap d'Agde, à Sigean... L'Espagne est toute proche pour un dépaysement encore plus accru. Nous reviendrons avec grande joie et vous remercions très chaleureusement.
We have had such a wonderful week at Le Chanlie, what a special place. From walks through the orchid-filled meadow to star-gazing evenings. The house could not have been better. Thank you. PS Lovely selection of books including field guides and wildlife.
We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. Une magnifique maison, entièrement équipée avec TOUT ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin ! La piscine est tout simplement magnifique et nous avons tous adoré passer la majeure partie de notre séjour sous l'eau. Merci infiniment pour votre incroyable hospitalité, et surtout pour votre gentillesse et l'intérêt que vous avez portés aux filles... Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.
Idéalement placée à deux pas de la Dordogne et de Sarlat, Le Borghesia offre de belles prestations dans un environnement préservé et calme. Son aménagement intérieur combine parfaitement le charme de l'ancien avec le confort moderne. La décoration composée en partie de meubles et tableaux de famille rajoute un supplément d'âme à cette charmante ferme où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les propriétaires, très accueillants, sont une mine d'informations sur la région. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir eu le temps de visiter leurs autres locations situées à deux pas du Borghesia.
Nous faisons écho aux commentaires de vos précédents invités dans votre belle maison et votre jardin. L'attente a été longue avant d'arriver ici, mais cela en valait la peine. Tant de vignobles, tant de châteaux mais si peu de temps. L'un de nos souvenirs impérissables restera d'avoir eu pied au milieu de la Loire sur le lit de la rivière. Nous espérons que la rivière reviendra bientôt.
a wonderful treat to spend summer half term in the incomparable Le Grand Mas de Valcros. A house that really has every luxury and comfort with the most insane views. Endless pool-time, boules tournaments, visits to bastide towns and a trip to the sea - all missions that were completed with happy smiles. A million thanks for letting us share your home.
After having stayed it before exactly a year ago, we already had high expectations and were wondering if it would be as wonderful as before. It was even better! Thank you so much.

We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.

Tout ce que vous pourriez demander - une belle maison, une intimité totale, idyllique ! Lorsque nous nous sommes enfin aventurés hors de notre cocon, nous nous sommes promenés dans la magnifique campagne des Corbières. Tant d'endroits à découvrir et tant de vin à déguster. Nous avons tout aimé.
Wow! What an amazing house in such a wonderful location! We've just come back from spending a week here and I was so sad to leave. The house is incredibly comfortable and beautifullt decorated. You really couldn't ask for a better location - the street is very peaceful (we didn't hear a thing, despite sitting out in the garden until late in the evening, every night) and yet you are in the centre of town within few minutes walk - we loved strolling into the main part of town for an ice cream in the day or a drink at night. Parking is easy; we didn't use the garage in the end despite having two cars between us. The pool is wonderful, especially when its really hot and the decked area and BBQ just make the garden a really relaxing, usable space to enjoy.
