Thank you for letting us stay at this lovely stylish villa, one of the best we have ever stayed at. So well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Nardia recommended ‘Le Grand Frais’ supermarket at Carcassonne where we were able to buy some wonderful fresh produce on arrival and which saw us through the week. An absolutely fantastic place! Our week went so incredibly quickly. It is our second time in the Carcassonne area, but still so much to do and see. This time we discovered the Gorges de Galamus and the labyrinths at Nebias. Amazing! Short treks around the beautiful Villelongue were also so nice. We loved the compost recycling bin at the end of the commune. Very green! Thanks to Mike for sorting the awning for us on a very windy Sunday. Hope to be back!
Beautiful château and very well maintained grounds which are well equipped to prevent children from being bored. The kids absolutely loved the pool and having the shaded area was brilliant for everyone. Everything you could need for a fortnightwith the family - our party included toddlers, a newborn baby and grandparents. the daily housekeeping service was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a catered evening (we chose Indian food). Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We hope to be back.
Best family holiday ever. Amazing space of the house led to us having the best family holiday ever for 9 adults and 3 young children. The outdoor areas are equally fantastic, the pool, Japanese garden with pizza oven was greatly appreciated and we would love to come back and see our host Katie again.
We stayed at Villa La Baronne for a week in early October. We were blessed with good weather and the surrounding area is beautiful and historically very interesting. As for the property itself, Villa La Baronne offers every possible amenity a guest might wish for. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The living areas are spacious and inviting. Outside the garden is lovely and has ample space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The swimming pool is of a great size and in cooler temperatures it is heated. We had a lovely time and the hosts were exceptional. Can't recommend this villa enough. Book it while you can!
This is the most wonderful place to have a family holiday; beautifully furnished, spotless, spacious and as peaceful as you could possibly hope a holiday to be. The pool is glorious, we spent hours playing table tennis, had wonderful meals on the big table outside and we watched the stars at night time. In the local area are vineyards, beautiful mediaeval towns and castles and lots of lovely food to be found in markets. It’s a perfect place for a happy holiday.
Merveilleux. Je reviens tout juste d'un séjour fabuleux dans cette villa. Nous étions les premiers vacanciers après le Corona et j'avais peur de ne pas pouvoir prendre l'avion, mais Michael était super et rassurant. Très bon contact tout au long. La piscine est tout simplement magnifique et nous avons passé de nombreuses heures à profiter de l'eau, d'autant plus que nous l'avons remplie de gonflables ! La villa est propre et les lits sont extrêmement confortables. Climatisation destinée à de bonnes nuits de sommeil. Des hôtes très hospitaliers et dans l'ensemble, c'est un endroit charmant pour se détendre. Grand supermarché à seulement 15 minutes en voiture afin que nous puissions nous approvisionner facilement. Nous y reviendrions.
Notre deuxième séjour, nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos vacances. Accueil chaleureux et bon service ! Et bien sûr, une belle maison et un jardin. Merci! À plus tard.
The house had everything we needed, we will hopefully be able to visit again. We had a fantastic weeks stay and while we did some visiting (Mount Ventoux was a highlight), we just appreciated being able to use the swimming pool, table tennis and pool table rooms, some of our skills definitely improved during our holiday. We also loved being able to eat outside and admire the fantastic views.
We had an absolutely delightful holiday in Argeliers and all six of us (four adults and two children) loved the house and hated to leave. We did the usual visits for first-timers in the region: Carcassonne, Narbonne, Gruissan, the Abbaye de Fontfroide, various villages along the Canal du Midi, etc. We had a ball and were always looking forward to return to the Maison Tigre at the end of the day. The pool was a high-light, so much so that it was sometimes difficult to get the children out to visit (and the adults also). The house was also a delight, with such a great design that we immediately felt at home. Thank you also to Alan and Cathy for their warm welcome and very useful explanations. All six of us have very good memories of our (alas short) stay at Maison Tigre and we still remind each other often of our summer holiday. I would like to congratulate you again for the wonderful job you have done with the restoration of Maison Tigre, with the design and with the equipment provided, which was just right for us (I may be repeating myself here, but it really is a wonderful home, so another round of applause is not excessive!)
What a wonderful stay we have had and what a special part of France! Olonzac market on a Tuesday was a real highlight. Kayaking at Puicheric was so much fun and the water was crystal clear for swimming. Narbonne and the market was quite a spectacle - such a fun and varied trip. Thank you for all the tips and for lending us your beautiful Loft.
Belles vues, une belle villa reposante. Nous avons vraiment apprécié le séjour ici. Minerve valait le détour (ville et grottes), et les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié. Les activités au lac de Carcassonne près de Carcassonne.
Hi future guest, The couple who own the property have poured so much love into every corner of the beautiful. home that you can feel it when you stay there. The place is so much more cosy and beautifully designed than the pictures give the impression. During our stay we said we wanted to listen to music and asked if there were speakers onsite. Karen and Russell said there wasn't but then went out and bought a pair for us to use! At one point we were cooking and I borrowed some olive oil, curry powder and a chilli pepper. I wanted to get a guitar and they told me where a fabulous music shop was and I ended up purchasing a beautiful guitar. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt beyond welcome. The place is a bit like a fairytale place, and they made our stay beyond what we imagined. It is an oasis and a sanctuary and close to many nearby sites such as Château de Rene and others. Highly recommend staying here.
We all had a lovely time at Domaine des Volets. We would certainly recommend this property to others.
We've had a lovely week here at the villa. It's been especially good for our youngest family member who has really enjoyed playing here. We loved the heated pool, especially when the clouds come over the fun can continue. Absolutely recommend a trip to see Carcassonne for those wanting a day trip, but remember to check what is open. A fantastic week exploring the area, with the beautiful house to retreat to. The local markets have been wonderful, with lots of delicious food which has been enjoyed in the surroundings of Le Malardier. The other highlights have been visiting Aubeterre, canoeing and a trip to the Chateaux. A magnificent week.
Thank you so much for an amazing stay, how will we cope without the view!!!! Main highlights include, hanging around the house, Mount Ventoux for go carting and tubing etc, watching the Tour de France at Grignan, Nyons for great markets and music in the evenings, les Barons perches Nyons for high ropes and Vaison la romaine.

La piscine est idéalement aménagée pour se détendre, discuter et garder un œil sur les enfants. Après une semaine passée à la piscine, notre fille a finalement réussi à nager toute seule ! Merci pour votre accueil chaleureux et convivial : le fromage de bienvenue, les viennoiseries du petit-déjeuner, le délicieux repas à La Tour de Montady, la fabuleuse dégustation de vins à Saint-Chinian – tout cela a été si mémorable et a rendu ce séjour encore plus agréable. Autres moments forts : les nombreuses balades à vélo dans les vignes, une excursion à la plage du Chichoulet, la découverte de la boucherie-pâtisserie de Cazouls-les-Béziers et la dégustation de produits locaux au bord de la piscine chaque soir.
We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
Thank you, what an amazing holiday we’ve had in your wonderful house, from the swimming pool to the table tennis room and family boule tournaments, we’ve had great fun. We loved. We loved swimming in the river in Nyons and the massive markets. A lovely windy trip up to mount Ventoux with amazing views and cheering on the cyclists!. Vaison la romaine was a nice morning out with the Roman remains and finally a quick wine tasting (and purchase) at Domaine du Tave with Audrey finished it off nicely. Thanks again,
We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleusement agréable au Malardier. Le temps a été très chaud pendant quelques jours et il faudrait un peu de pluie. Les vues et la configuration de la propriété conviennent parfaitement à un grand groupe familial. Les années consacrées à la construction et au design ont vraiment porté leurs fruits. We’ve enjoyed two wonderful weeks in and around Villa Lavinière Thanks to the air conditioning we survived the heatwave comfortably. What a great, well-equipped house, garden and pool! Communication with you was very good, supportive and kind. The views from the first floor were beautiful. We had one of the best holiday houses we’ve ever stayed in. We also enjoyed Grand Café Occitan, Les Mûriers (La Livinière), L’Atelier (Caunes), Béziers (brocante market) and Lagrasse.
Lovely peaceful location and the hosts were very attentive and welcoming.
Nous sommes ravis à l'idée de retourner aux Jumelles. Nous avons adoré cet endroit et gardons de merveilleux souvenirs de notre séjour. Nos enfants ont particulièrement apprécié la piscine et le magnifique jardin, avec suffisamment d'espace pour pratiquer diverses activités comme le ping-pong, le badminton et le football.
Fabulous week learning about wine in an amazing setting. Manoir Lemance is the most wonderful, tranquil and stylish place I have stayed in France and I have stayed in many. The owners have taken great care and attention in restoring the beautiful buildings, choosing the internal furnishings and creating the amazing swimming pool and grounds. We were warmly welcomed and looked after really well all week. The local area is full of amazing villages, great vineyards and beautiful countryside. If you are looking for a very French holiday with the added support of English speaking hosts, in the most beautiful setting, then this is the place for you.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette villa du sud de la France. Je pense que nous avons réservé via Pure France deux fois l'année dernière et nous avons été très satisfaits de notre réservation. Le service client personnel est excellent. Je vais certainement réutiliser Pure France.
Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.
