A beautiful house and perfect for our four generation family holiday. The children loved the pool and the huge range of toys. They spent most of their time in the pool and playing with the garden toys. Beautiful rooms and everything we could possibly need provided. We enjoyed a family walk around the lake followed by an excellent lunch at the restaurant in the museum. Days out to Revel, Castres, Carcassonne and other local villages.

Thank you so much for your hospitality this last week. Staying at the Loft du Vigneron is more a 5-star hotel experience than a typical rental property! We loved sitting out on the terrace at all times of the day and there were so many little touches that made staying here such a pleasure. You are great hosts - discrete yet friendly and so helpful when required. As for activities in the area, we particularly enjoyed Lastours and the Friday night pop-up tapas bar at the château. All the best for your new venture - we're sure it will be a great success!

What an amazing week in a stunning home. The house is exquisitely designed and the attention to detail is fantastic. The views are beautiful and the area so quiet and peaceful. I slept in one of the bedrooms on the ground floor and had the best night's sleep I've had for years… the mattress is heavenly. Not many people can lie in bed watching red squirrels leaping through the surrounding trees can they! The small kitchen area on the ground floor along with the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms means the whole floor can be very separate and quiet if two families were to share the house. The middle floor is a great entertaining space with a spotless and very modern kitchen with dining / living area leading out to the garden and pool. It was a real treat to have the local bar / restaurant within a short walking distance. It's very easy to sit and enjoy the local wine! The one thing I hadn't bargained for was the abundance of wildlife, although with the roads being so quiet I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. The red squirrels and deer can be seen from the balconies and fantastic infinity pool overlooking the valley. The cushions for the outdoor furniture are very comfy. Once again, there are various areas to sit / eat and enjoy the garden if different age groups or families stay here. So to sum it all up…a fab holiday home in beautiful surroundings – 10 / 10. PS If you attempt the puzzle in the games cupboard… start it as soon as you arrive because it's tricky but irresistible!
Merci de nous avoir ouvert votre extraordinaire demeure à notre grande famille. Nos vacances au Château Périgord ont dépassé toutes nos attentes. La beauté de la région et de votre maison sont de parfaits compliments. Nous avons aimé faire nos courses sur les marchés locaux et cuisiner ensemble dans la cuisine accueillante. Nous avons adoré notre temps passé dans la piscine et à jouer au badminton, ainsi que le temps à simplement profiter de ce cadre agréable et de ces vues. Nous avons exploré des grottes préhistoriques et des villages médiévaux, nous avons dégusté des vins de la région, visité des châteaux célèbres, descendu la rivière Dordogne en canoë et avons toujours terminé la journée impatients de revenir et de profiter du Château Périgord.
I will be in contact as soon as possible to try to rebook as we are really keen to return. We had a fantastic week there last week.

Thank you for being the most welcoming, warm and charming hosts, you looked after us so well. Thank you for drinks in your home, it was so much fun. We are going to miss our walks around Vouvant and morning coffee in the village. Thank you again so much for being the most amazing hosts, it was a holiday we will never forget. We had a pleasure of spending three days at La Petite Maison Générille and the biggest dissatisfaction with our stay is that it was just too short! La Petite Maison Générille is one of those rare places where you could see yourself easily spending an entire summer. We are definitely coming back! Where do I start... first of all, the place is immaculately clean and well-stocked: there was literally nothing that we needed and it wasn't available (and trust me we are very picky when it comes to holiday rentals). The kitchen has everything a family of four could possibly need; there are lots of wonderful new fluffy towels; the mattresses are comfortable and pillows are perfect; shower pressure was better than at our home. There's a big clean heated pool and a terrace with the most picturesque view that you just want to frame in your memory forever... And of course - the wonderful hosts! they know the area and set us up for a brilliant three-day programme that only whetted our appetites for coming back to Dordogne again and again. Thank you VERY much for a fabulous holiday! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
Presque un mois de repos au Château Seyches, à profiter de la sérénité et du silence de la campagne. Nous aimons les vieilles pierres, qui racontent un bout d'histoire de France et Château Seyches ne nous a pas déçu. Nous étions très heureux de passer nos vacances ici et de pouvoir nous reposer grâce au silence de la campagne. Bien à vous.
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cette magnifique maison ! Nous avons mangé plein de pains au chocolat, mais nous avons compensé avec plein de parties de tennis, de volley-ball et de badminton ! Merci beaucoup !
What a beautiful location, breathtaking. A very warm welcome, you feel at home because of the fine reception. The hosts help you with everything you could want. The gîte is also spick and span and meets all your needs. Had a very relaxing holiday. Exactly as it should be! We recommend it to everyone and will definitely come here again.
Merveilleux séjour ici à Sarlat. Cette maison est parfaite pour visiter la région. Beaucoup de belles choses à faire à proximité. La maison est dans un endroit magnifique et avec les températures élevées de cette semaine, la piscine a été une aubaine. Tout dans la maison est adapté aux visiteurs et elle est vraiment bien équipée. C'est ma première fois en Dordogne et c'est absolument magnifique. Je reviendrai certainement bientôt. J'ai eu le privilège de séjourner à la Villa Lavinière pendant trois semaines et je me suis senti accueilli et détendu au quotidien. Je recommande fortement faire du vélo dans les villages voisins, visiter les vignobles et profiter du soleil et du vin de la région. Merci de m'avoir permis de séjourner pour cette escapade très spéciale. Je chérirai le souvenir de ces vacances ici.
Great house in a great location. Enjoyed by all ages 9 to 70 years. Something for everybody. Kids and adults wowed with the pool.
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on Les Oliviers du Sud. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year. Thank you Esther and Leo for your hospitality.
Heatwaves, lizards, buzzards, owls, thunderstorms, bakery, wine, wine, wine and cheese. Fabulous house beautifully converted, so French, so homely. We do not want to leave. We're staying. Many thanks. PS Walnuts were marvellous.
Maison très agréable, idéale pour un week-end en famille car chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain et une chambre idéal pour des personnes âgées. La deco est de très bon goût, nous avons passé un excellent week-end. Merci Christophe. À une prochaine fois
Lovely spacious house. We loved staying here! The rooms were lovely and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable :-) The location was really good to. We enjoyed going down to the riverside cafe, kayaking on the river, cycling, sightseeing, eating! We would definitely come back.

We just wanted to drop you a quick message to say how much we enjoyed your lovely house in France. Les Roches was a wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing, seeing something of the Southern Loire, and trying new wines. The pool, tennis courts, and gym were a big hit with the kids especially. Isabella, thank you for the personal tour of the winery, it was good to learn more about how you create your organic/low sulphite wines and the great knowledge shared while tasting a few, along with the ones we thoroughly tested during our stay The Femme Tour riding by the gates was a one off and such an amazing and friendly experience. We toasted with sparkling wine (Ampelidae of course) on the barrels set at the end of the drive as they rode past. Please say thank you to the so helpful Beada once again for her support and patience with our varied amounts of French. The ladies in the village bakery were also wonderfully cheerful each morning as we negotiated the language of French bread types. In all our joint family holidays this one got the highest score. As we watched the red sunset from the terrace on Friday, no one wanted to go home. Wishing you a good harvest in 2025 and all the best.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour au château du Périgord. Le château est magnifique et décoré avec goût. Le parc est splendide. La campagne est très belle et très apaisante. La piscine est sécurisée et bien équipée. Parfait.
Lovely quiet house with pool in the heart of a pretty village - garden well maintained and flowered with magnificent views of the Dordogne - Interior decoration - friendly welcome - Geographical location (30 minutes from Sarlat and Domme) - The area is superb. There are numerous activities and visiting castles or cities, biking and canoeing... Well recommended!
Spotlessly clean, stunning home. We had everything we needed and more - especially for the children. Unintrusive, super helpful.
