The property was perfect for our two families, with ample accommodation and communal areas to relax together. We were spoilt for choice as to where we chose to hang out with beautiful uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside especially from the back of the property. The pool was a real treat - large enough for our party of 8 to have endless fun in. The daily walk to the boulangerie first thing in the morning was really enjoyable, as were the local pizza's!
Nous avons vécu une quinzaine fabuleuse qui est passée trop vite ! Nous avons vraiment apprécié la maison, le jardin, la piscine, le court de tennis, la table de ping-pong, le billard et les vélos. Nous n'avions pratiquement pas besoin de sortir mais nous avons apprécié les excursions en Ardèche pour faire du canoë, à Avignon, à Orange et les villages locaux dont Lusson et La Roque-sur-Cèze ainsi que le marché de St Ambroix. Egalement, quelques visites à Nîmes pour récupérer ou déposer les enfants ! Nous avons surtout apprécié votre hospitalité très chaleureuse - vos cadeaux incluant les légumes, pour toute votre aide, d'excellents apéritifs et surtout notre excursion au Musée du Désert et au Centre du Bambou - que nous avons trouvé vraiment intéressants et que nous recommandons à tous. Nous avons passé deux semaines formidables et nous ne voulons pas partir !
For the last 10 years, a whole group of friends and now growing amount of children have been going on holidays. We found Mas de la Rivière by chance by doing a search for 'a big house to rent in France'. Well the house is huge! We were so pleased and extremely surprised to see how much space they were when we arrived. The owners were away but we were greeted buy lovely girl where everything was and how everything worked. The house is child friendly with a huge swimming pool (with a slide). A huge trampoline, climbing frame / slide / swings and table tennis. There is enough bikes for all the kids to ride around the gardens and woods around the property are vast. We were told to help ourselves to their fruit and vegetables. The kitchen was really well equipped with lots of child friendly stuff like cups and plates etc. The rooms all had ensuite bathrooms and were extremely comfortable with good mattresses and fans in all the rooms. Mid week the lovely cleaners came and changed all the bedding and towels and cleaned all the bathrooms. The house has Wi-Fi throughout with meant that some of us could work if needed. And of course browse Facebook and Instagram.
The Garden Cottage is beautifully kept and has a gorgeous interior, but what really impressed us was it's tranquil location within the owners grounds and the peaceful location of the swimming pool where one can laze of a sunny afternoon or two. The cottage is approximately a 5-10 minute walk into the local village where there is a little shop selling everything to cater for your needs and a hotel restaurant that serve lovely meals at a very reasonable price. This must be tried at least once during your visit. If you fancy a larger shop there are two large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive on the road to Montignac. Montignac is a beautiful town with lovely riverside restaurants. The cottage is ideally located to visit the local sights, whether it be a château such as the local Château de Losse or Château Les Milandes with its beautiful gardens, or pretty towns and villages, our particular favourites being Saint Leon, La Roque Gageac and Domme. Beautiful blue skies every day with temperatures hitting 36 degrees one day. This gave us a perfect excuse to spend some days lounging around by the pool and recharging in the stunning surroundings. So to sum up, with a combination of the cottage, the weather and the perfect hosts we had an amazing week and left feeling pretty sad. However, we know that we will be visiting again, for longer next time as there was still quite a lot we didn't get to see in this beautiful part of France. It was honestly one of the best holidays we have ever had. Thank you so much, until the next time.
We have just arrived back from Maison Palatini and we all had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful in such a quiet place and yet minutes from the town centre. The pool is wonderful. My Grand daughters were never out of it! I would also like to say that Andrew and Sharman were most helpful and such nice people. Thank you so much.
Belle maison au calme, tout est fourni, une semaine très reposante et un temps mitigé, mais pas gênant avec une maison comme ça. Frédéric était très sympathique et serviable. Nous serions ravis de revenir, espérons-le, un jour. Et de si belles roses partout dans la maison ! Merci encore.

We spent a truly magical and wonderfully memorably week at Maison Tilleul last summer. It was everything we dreamed of. Stunning grounds, modern facilities, beautiful décor and every amenity you could need. The village is peaceful and picturesque. The countryside was quintessentially French. The historic and geographical wonders that provide endless options for afternoon drives or day trips, were all worth every minute driving through the vineyards and mountain passes that the region offers in abundance. There are wonderful restaurants and bars within walking distance and short drives. We had a spectacular evening watching the sun set with a cocktail at Côté Resto set amongst the vines of Domaine Gayda, followed by exquisite cuisine and a buoyant atmosphere. We sampled traditional Blanquette at the atmospheric Abbaye Saint-Hilaire. Explored the impressive Gorges de Saint-Georges and mountain villages. The Cathar castles and ancient city of Minerve, were stunning and like nothing I’ve seen before, both in scale and the history associated with them. I have visited the Languedoc for years, but Le Parc made it a year like no other. Thank you for the privilege – memories have been made and will be treasured.
Nous venons de temps en temps depuis des années. C'est un bel endroit à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. Le décor est incroyable. Lorsque nous y sommes, nous oublions qu’il y a beaucoup d’autres endroits à visiter.
Amazing château! Stunning weather! Five families came together from different places: Canada, Wales, England. We enjoyed ourselves and each other's company. We hope to come again to this lovely place with friendly spirits.
We had the most wonderful stay at the property. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool amazing. Inside everything set up for comfortable stay for all - kids loved the hammocks! Thank you for making it so welcoming. I hope that we will be back very soon.

We had a wonderful week in La Tourouzelle. The large pool and adjoining deck was a gift in the strong sun. The house has everything you would want, with each bed and couch as comfortable as the next! The view from the terrace, taking in the vines, the woods and even the Pyrénées is breathtaking!
One of the finest holiday rentals we have ever had - the house, the internal furnishing, the swimming pool, the grounds - all are exceptional. From the friendly, informative and interesting welcome from Bruno, the caretaker, to the friendly departure message from Victoria, this rental cannot be faulted. We would return to the property in an instant for another holiday. For anyone travelling to this region, this property is one of the very best rentals available - the finest quality all the way.
C'est une fabuleuse villa avec des espaces et des zones de détente magnifiques, spacieux et différents, parfaite pour les grands groupes ou les familles - la piscine est magnifique. Tout a été pensé et la disponibilité de vélos pour tous les âges est excellente, surtout quand on est si près du canal du midi. Les propriétaires sont très attentifs et sympathiques et tout, des gâteries généreuses à l'arrivée, au fabuleux repas (merci!) Aux pâtisseries et au pain du matin est top, et les meilleurs conseils sur le vin et les excursions d'une journée sont fournis facilement, et à chaque fois des super suggestions. Un endroit charmant et certainement un lieu où vous voudrez revenir.
Des vacances fantastiques dans ce fantastique mini-château. Étant récemment arrivé de Californie et séjournant chez nos beaux-parents français, ce furent des vacances vraiment incroyables. Beaucoup de repas, de verres, de baignade, de tourisme et bien sûr de ping-pong. À bientôt.
We loved our stay - we were in a mixed group and it worked really well as each couple had their own space and privacy, but there are wonderful spaces for entertaining as a large group. The pool area is stunning and the setting is calm, quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed taking the bikes on trips to nearby villages too!
Nous avons essayé de venir pendant 6 ans, mais finalement nous l'avons fait et cela valait la peine d'attendre. Les propriétaires étaient très gentils et serviables. Ont offert de super fromages, du vin, des livraisons tôt le matin et un bon repas au restaurant. Et tout ça avant même d'évoquer la belle maison :) Tout était incroyable sauf la canicule, 42°C (ouf !) mais la piscine nous a sauvé, elle était super aussi. Un grand merci pour le plein de super souvenirs.
We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.
A fantastic week with everything our family needed, set in a beautiful location in a gorgeous part of France. We had lovely daytrips to some restored châteaux and relaxing days by the pool. Simon, Nicholas and Millie were wonderful and very helpful in everything. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

Thank you for a wonderful week here. It has been a much needed escape from the hectic life of London. The ambiance of the house and grounds is so serene and peaceful. Scenery is breathtaking. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity in showing us the château and the wine tasting. You are an incredible force of nature. Your transformation of this property is miraculous.
Peaceful French retreat. Lovely family stay here with great pool and Al fresco dining area for the summer months. Enjoyed being out in the countryside with local town and large supermarkets just a short drive away. Would certainly stay again.
Une autre semaine fabuleuse au Malardier. Un endroit vraiment spécial qui nous a encore procuré bien d'autres souvenirs très heureux! Merci beaucoup de nous faire partager cette belle maison. Carole et Jean-Luc ont créé une merveilleuse maison tranquille. C'est de loin la mieux équipée que nous ayons jamais louée - par exemple, la cuisine ne manque absolument de rien du tout ! Elle est très bien située et juste à une courte distance en voiture des attractions locales (par exemple Grasse, Mons, Callian, etc.) ainsi qu'à une courte distance de la Riviera. Nos hôtes ont été d'une grande aide lorsque nous leur avons demandé conseil, et nous espérons qu'un jour nous pourrons revenir.
Back again! We loved our stay here so much we decided to come back and it did not disappoint. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed both local walks (marked maps provided at the house). Impressive thunder storms and lovely blue skies. Would recommend Castres, Revel and Hautpoul for local trips (all within 30 to 40 minutes drive).
Belle villa. Nous avons passé un séjour fabuleux dans cette magnifique villa. C'est dans un joli village calme. La piscine est parfaite pour deux et la villa est très confortable. Nous reviendrons certainement bientôt.
Nous avons passé des très bons moments dans un appartement constitué de matériaux nobles, bien agencé,, décoré avec raffinement, goût, confortable et spacieux. Profiter des paysages des environs à pieds et à vélos.
