Tres belle maison, parfaite pour un grand groupe de personnes comme le notre (10+, plusieurs familles). Tout est là pour les enfants! Hôtes tres accueillants qui ont répondu immédiatement lorsqu'il y avait une demande. En bordure d'un beau petit village, la majorité des choses à faire sont à environ 30-45 minutes de la maison. Nous avons eu un très beau séjour
Nous avons passé un fantastique séjour dans ce magnifique château. Emplacement fabuleux, maison fabuleuse!

Le Château des Dragons est situé dans une région magique de France… un endroit d'une beauté exceptionnelle. Niché au cœur d'une forêt enchantée, le château offre un panorama à couper le souffle dès que l'on franchit ses grilles. Nos hôtes, Christian et Alla, nous ont accueillis avec une chaleur et un enthousiasme communicatifs. Le château est idéal pour les grandes réceptions et nos hôtes se sont montrés extrêmement prévenants et toujours prêts à répondre à nos questions et à satisfaire nos besoins. Ils nous ont aidés à trouver un chef privé parisien exceptionnel, ainsi qu'un restaurant formidable, Les Archives à Poitiers, pour nos amis. Ils nous ont également donné de précieux conseils sur les activités à faire dans les environs. Ils ont tout fait pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Lorsque le chef est venu au château pour nos dîners privés, il a dressé une table somptueuse avec sa propre collection de porcelaine fine, agrémentée de fleurs fraîches… une expérience vraiment inoubliable. Les chambres étaient confortables et les espaces communs très accueillants. La cuisine était parfaitement équipée et nous en avons été ravis. Je recommande vivement le Château des Dragons à tous et nous espérons y retourner bientôt pour un autre séjour.

Nous avons passé une semaine reposante dans ce charmant gîte. Madeline et Alan sont des hôtes formidables. Respectueux de votre espace, ils sont toujours disponibles pour vous conseiller, vous faire connaître la région et discuter. Nous avons adoré faire du kayak sur le Lot, explorer les environs à vélo et profiter de la belle piscine chaque jour (le moment préféré de notre fils !). Nous avons adoré notre visite à Latour-Marliac pour un excellent déjeuner et une agréable promenade dans les jardins et les magnifiques nénuphars. Le dernier soir, nous avons dégusté un excellent repas au restaurant de poissons « Blue Marine » à Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Nous avons également passé un excellent repas cette semaine à « La Commanderie » au Temple-sur-Lot. Des vacances formidables. Merci. Au plaisir de revenir.
Exceptional house in an exceptional setting! The house is ideally located, away from the tourist crowds with magnificent hikes nearby but close enough to Apt for basic needs. The house is as pleasant indoors in bad weather as it is outdoors the rest of the time. The kitchen is very well equipped. The host was available before the stay to advise us on all logistical aspects. An on-site contact was also made during the stay.
A beautiful house and perfect for our four generation family holiday. The children loved the pool and the huge range of toys. They spent most of their time in the pool and playing with the garden toys. Beautiful rooms and everything we could possibly need provided. We enjoyed a family walk around the lake followed by an excellent lunch at the restaurant in the museum. Days out to Revel, Castres, Carcassonne and other local villages.
Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine. La maison est agencée et décorée avec soin, o s'y sent bien. Et quelle vue, quelle tranquillité... Un grand merci pour votre accueil si chaleureux, tout est parfait ici. Et que dire de la piscine chauffée qui a permis aux enfants de s'amuser pendant des heures. Merci beaucoup pour tout.
Magnifique propriété, super équipée, piscine très grande à une température parfaite, terrain exceptionnel, court de tennis en parfait état, espaces communs bien agencés et confortables... On peut difficilement faire mieux pour des vacances en famille! L'endroit convient parfaitement aux enfants et aux moins jeunes... Très propre, confortable, très agréable, communication excellente avec les propriétaires. Le top!
Lovely villa, boys enjoyed the pool and the garden! Had great trips to Montpellier and Carcassonne. Visit Pézenas on a Wednesday evening and visit all of the artisans stores! For beaches the long stretch between Sète and Agde is very quiet.
Ces vacances ont été des plus reposantes et réparatrices après les épreuves du Covid, etc. Nous devons remercier Alan et Madeline pour leur grande gentillesse et pour avoir fait un effort supplémentaire lorsque nous ne trouvions pas le chemin du retour. Nous avons apprécié les restaurants locaux : essayez l'Aubord de la Source, Sainte-Livrade pour une gourmandise spéciale, Les Rives du Plantie. Nous sommes allés au nord jusqu'au marché de Cancon (le lundi matin). Il y a un village appelé Saint-Pastour sur le chemin où un jeune couple tient un très bon restaurant (déjeuner en semaine et certains soirs) appelé Le Relais Bastide. Merci encore Madeline et Alan. J'ai presque oublié de dire qu'il ne faut pas manquer les nymphéas et le déjeuner à Latour-Marliac. Monet a acheté ses nymphéas ici, après les avoir vus à la grande Exposition de Paris.
Magnifique villa en pierre - un bon accueil pour les amis et la famille. Un excellente maison chargée d'histoire, parfaite pour donner à chaque visiteur des espaces magnifiquement privés (avec 5 lits et bains), mais avec de la place pour se réunir pour des soirées et du plaisir. Au cours de nos trois semaines, 15 personnes nous ont rejoint à des moments différents. Beaucoup de place pour cuisiner ensemble, barbecue, dîner à l'extérieur, dans la cuisine, l'élégante salle à manger ou au bord de la piscine. Nous avons eu un magnifique soleil d'automne près de la piscine chauffée, et la maison est bien équipée. Des problèmes mineurs rapidement pris en charge. Un design fabuleux - nous souhaitons simplement en savoir plus sur l'histoire de la maison. Excellent emplacement - avec une trajet de 5 minutes (en voiture) vers le village pour des croissants le matin, à peu près tout le nécessaire dans le village, à proximité des principales attractions (15 ou 20 minutes de Lascaux - 20 mins de Sarlat). Nous étions ravis et remercions Pierre et Marie.
C'était notre deuxième séjour au Cottage du Jardin et certainement pas le dernier. Caterina et Steven sont des hôtes parfaits, d'une compagnie agréable quand le moment s'y prêtait, mais qui nous laissaient une totale intimité le reste du temps. Pour être honnête, ils étaient tous deux de bons voisins et nous ont fait sentir comme chez nous. Nous ne tarissons pas d'éloges sur la région, le cottage et Cat et Steve. Merci pour cette semaine agréable.
Beautifully renovated, well equipped house, ideal for family / friends gathering. Three quite separate sets of 2 double/ twin bedrooms with en-suites and seating areas, so plenty of privacy. Well equipped kitchen (loads of fridge space) and separate bar / fridge/ dishwasher area. Plenty of seating and dining space both inside and out on two terraces. Kids loved the pool and outside space, playing volley ball in the garden. We enjoyed the views and quiet surroundings. My parents enjoyed the local towns and villages; and the cakes! Daily cleaning included by lovely housekeeper/ gardener who live next door. We didn't know they were there except when we needed them. The area is beautiful if you have the energy to travel, Beaune and Dijon are worth a visit and the nearby Couches with a lovely château has a delicious Patisserie / Boulangerie. We took the train from Chagny to Beaune to visit the Hospice and enjoyed a wine tasting. There are lots of vineyards to visit and taste at, we wished we'd organised some tours before we arrived as the owners can advise on this. You will not be disappointed booking this house, we have stayed in many houses in France over the last 30 years and this is undoubtedly the loveliest. We hope to return.
Nous avons passé des vacances en famille incroyables au Château, célébrant l’anniversaire avec un grand groupe. Le château, l’autre bâtiment et les vastes terrains privés sont magnifiques et très relaxants, nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin et l’endroit était impeccablement propre. Les hôtes avaient pensé à tout, et nous avons hâte de revenir.
Nous avons passé une super semaine villa très propre il y'a vraiment très calme et paisible je vous recommande.
Merci d'avoir partagé ce bel endroit. La maison et le jardin sont magnifiques et tout le monde s'est vraiment détendu et s'est bien amusé. Frédéric est très charmant et serviable et tout ce qu'il a organisé pour nous était parfait.
We had a wonderful stay at Manoir de Fouilloux, my retired parents and children aged 8 and 11 had a truly relaxing stay with plenty to see and do locally. The house had plenty of space inside and lots of different areas outside to eat and relax. In particular we enjoyed spending time outside in the Moroccan terrace and kitchen and especially the evening when Ian and Hugh cooked for us when we took advantage of this as an extra option. Ian and Hugh were super helpful informing us of the local area which suited all ages so there was plenty to do for everyone. I would recommend hiring a car to explore the beautiful villages. The pool was well used in such hot weather with plenty of space for us all to relax and read as well as splash about with the children. The area was lovely and quiet so we were all able to switch off and spend quality time together as a family, plus with Ian and Hugh nearby we felt we had our own personal concierge service! They also provide a very useful guide which is in the house and also sent before our arrival. There has been so much attention to detail carried out in and outside the house and Ian and Hugh were fantastic with our many questions we had as we loved hearing about the work that went into it. We absolutely loved our time there and our 8 year old is now asking for a dog the same as Oscar! Thank you to Ian and Hugh for giving us such a memorable holiday, we felt truly spoilt staying in such a beautiful and well refurbished traditional house and can't wait to return one day!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Le gîte était magnifique, parfaitement équipé, et très calme. La piscine était fabuleuse. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et serviables, et les villages et châteaux environnants sont magnifiques et agréables à découvrir.

A very belated note to say thanks very much for your help in making our stay in Les Rocans go smoothly. We had a great time and loved how relaxed it was. We were considering rebooking for next year however Mum has just announced she will be taking a larger place to celebrate her 70th in next summer, so the good news is she will pick up the bill (!) but the bad news is we can't stay with you again next year. We will however certainly bear Les Rocans in mind for the future as we had a thoroughly relaxing time.
What a fantastic area and what a gorgeous house - and the view! Can we come again? Love the local wines.
We would like to very highly recommend this grand idillic property in the tranquil rural setting of the Lot Valley. The quietness and peacefulness of the house and grounds is the perfect place to completely unwind, to read, draw, play boules, table tennis or relax with the family by the poolside area. The market town of Villeréal was particularly vibrant and trips into the Dordogne to Beynac for example is only an hour away. There is an abundance of local wines and vineyards to visit with exquisite cheeses and bread from the local markets. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We have returned totally refreshed and relaxed!
We had a wonderful holiday here, the garden and swimming pool area is a real gem and the surroundings are beautiful. We enjoyed visiting the markets in Nyons and Vaison la romaine, the Roman ruins in Vaison and Sault and the cave paintings at Chauvet-pont d’acr are astonishing, we also enjoyed the local wines, it was very special drinking Audrey Latards wonderful wines knowing they are from the vines at the end of the garden, Thank you.
