We have enjoyed several wonderful visits to this most delightful property set in bucolic rolling countryside. The house is elegant and extremely comfortable, giving maximal privacy inside and out so that guests can enjoy the peace, whether swimming in the lovely pool, or just relaxing in shade or sun. There is also a lovely terrace for al fresco dining and a fabulous collection of books. The creation of the gardens is masterful . We loved the nearby market in Condom and the creamy stone architecture of the area.
Un château de conte de fées situé sur les collines de Saint Mézard. Simplement merveilleux! Facile d'accès depuis Toulouse, Château Mézard etait le parfait camp de base pour explorer les jolis villages aux alentours qui offrend le meilleur en matière de gastronomie et de vins locaux. Un petit Armagnac au coucher du soleil, dîner au chandelles sur l'un des nombreuses terrasses nous ont fait nous sentir comme des princes.
La Villa du Château était une excellente propriété, idéalement située au cœur du village. L'aménagement était bien pensé, avec de belles chambres et du linge de qualité ; la cuisine était parfaitement équipée, avec tous les ustensiles nécessaires. La piscine était superbe et offrait une grande intimité. Claire, la propriétaire, était sur place pour nous accueillir, ce qui fut très agréable. Nous recommandons vivement d'y passer des vacances.

We loved staying here. Domaine du Château is full of character and very comfortable. With the giant wine press in the dining room and the vines across the lane, you certainly know you are in Burgundy. We really liked the mix of antique French furniture and original contemporary art works, so nicely done. The kitchen is beautiful and really well equipped and the market in Beaune is amazing for fantastic local produce. Apart from driving through all the famous vineyards and going wine tasting, we really enjoyed visiting the château at Rochepot and the ancient market at Nolay. The countryside is very pretty and great for walking, but best of all, was just sitting drinking wine on the terrace, enjoying the wonderful view and tranquillity. We booked the Eurostar to Le Creusot which made the journey really easy and quick. You can pick 'up a hire car' at the station and then it's just a short drive down quiet country roads which felt a world away from London. Would definitely recommend!

Just returned from an outstanding holiday at the Orchard Farmhouse! The pool and grounds were just fantastic - it did help with three days at 30+ degrees! We spent 2 wonderfully relaxing weeks in this beautiful spot. The house was fantastic - spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, super comfy beds and well kitted out with great attention to detail, plus an excellent pool to keep cool in. And those views over the green lake from the outside seating area were stunning! It was a perfect base to explore the area from and we had lots of fun in the lake too, paddle boarding and swimming. Nick and Nicky were absolutely lovely, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Really appreciated the delicious welcome hamper too! Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

We have been staying here with our grown up children who have not been to this area before, and have loved the house and the area. The weather has been so hot! So we really appreciated the wonderful pool. A great kitchen which we have used extensively and adore having every meal outside. Thank you for your help and your lovely house.

A beautiful house and perfect for our four generation family holiday. The children loved the pool and the huge range of toys. They spent most of their time in the pool and playing with the garden toys. Beautiful rooms and everything we could possibly need provided. We enjoyed a family walk around the lake followed by an excellent lunch at the restaurant in the museum. Days out to Revel, Castres, Carcassonne and other local villages.
A huge thank you for making us feel so welcome, we've had a wonderful week in your beautiful property. This has been by far the best house we have stayed in, full of history, character and the personal touch. The pool has been amazing. Evening barbecues have been the highlight. Your kind gift of wine, beers and charcuterie set us up well for the week.

Nous avons passé un fabuleux séjour à la propriété. Les meilleures vues qui soient et la demeure est agréable et confortable. La piscine était formidable et offrait encore davantage de vues spectaculaires. Merci Henrietta et Peter pour cet accueil chaleureux.
Lovely holiday home. This was the first time we had stayed in this area of Perigord. The house was fantastic, very large for 4 people and had a really good swimming pool. The house is only 2 km from the river which is also lovely to swim in. There is also a lake nearby at Grolejac as well if you prefer that. The property is in a quiet but central location with numerous beautiful towns to visit nearby (e.g. Domme and Sarlat) and lots of activities to enjoy. We had a great 2 week holiday here!
Nous avons passé une nuit dans cette jolie villa perdue au fond des bois et des vignes lors d'une soirée de mariage tout près ( domaine de Franco, superbe lieu également). Nous étions au calme (et pour cause, aucun voisin à la ronde). La villa est tres bien équipée. La literie est excellente. Magnifique.

We had a wonderful week at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious house is very well equipped. The swimming pool is incredibly warm and the children (even the baby) spent hours in it. The shaded area by the pool was essential as the weather was really hot. We loved the area. It is fairly rural but with easy access to the town. The house is very child friendly with toys, high chairs and plastic bowls and plates and lots of pool accessories. All of which were appreciated by our 5 grandchildren. A fabulous, relaxing holiday. Merci pour votre hospitalité. Nous avons vraiment apprécié les petits déjeuners, le vin et le fromage. Le repas au Pourquoi Pas était incroyable même si nous avons vécu une aventure pour le trouver ! Beau temps dans la première moitié de la semaine mais dommage que nous ayons eu du vent et de la pluie ces derniers jours. Bon repas à la Pizzeria La Cremade à Béziers Villeneuve - à côté d'une écluse sur le Canal du Midi. Les Neuf Écluses valent également la peine d'être visitées. J'ai apprécié la plage de Sérignan.
