Notre famille a loué la Villa du Château pour quatre semaines, de la fin du printemps jusqu'au cœur de l'été. Nous l'avons choisie pour l'alliance subtile et raffinée entre le style traditionnel des maisons de campagne françaises et le confort qu'attendent les visiteurs internationaux : un accès facile à la vie du village, des équipements complets, des salles de bains et des chambres d'excellente qualité, ainsi qu'une belle piscine et de ravissants jardins. Dès la confirmation de notre réservation, nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et professionnel de la part de notre hôtesse, une personne d'une grande expérience et d'une attention remarquable. Claire se soucie sincèrement de ses hôtes ; son attitude, son équipe et la manière dont elle présente la maison nous ont fait nous sentir les bienvenus et appréciés dès le premier instant, avec un naturel tel que nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis chez nous. Il est difficile de décrire ce que représente le fait que la Villa du Château ait autrefois fait partie du magnifique château surplombant le village, et qu'elle se trouve aujourd'hui juste à côté de celui-ci. C'est un lieu véritablement exceptionnel. Nous sommes repartis avec de merveilleux souvenirs et une profonde reconnaissance envers Claire et les habitants de Duras.

Si vous recherchez un répit agréable pour oublier le quotidien, ne cherchez pas plus loin que Nérige. Quel endroit tranquille, vierge et magique. Les montagnes des Pyrénées s'élèvent au-dessus des vallées viticoles et l'air est clair et vif. La propriété elle-même est immense, mais si confortable et cosy. Les chambres sont décorées avec des draps et des meubles de la plus grande qualité. Sandie est une véritable hôte de la vieille école. Elle nous a accueillis en personne, nous a montré tous les points forts de la propriété, a préparé un délicieux repas pour notre arrivée et a rempli le garde-manger afin que nous prenions le petit-déjeuner le matin. Voyageant avec 2 jeunes enfants et 2 parents plus âgés... nous étions épuisés par notre voyage... et c'était exactement ce dont nous avions besoin ! Elle a également fait venir une merveilleuse massothérapeute à Nérige le lendemain matin pour amorcer notre détente ! Voilà comment voyager et bien voyager. C'est ainsi que l'on voit le monde. Ne doutez pas de cet endroit. Réservez dès maintenant avant que le monde entier ne découvre ce joyau magique !

After months of searching for the perfect 'retreat' we arrived at Le Presbytère! Exactly what we envisioned for our first trip to France with out kids. We have so enjoyed the pool, pond and of course, the whole place. We visited every bastide and market and cooked to our hearts content. Such an exquisite spot - we know the area very well - but rarely left this spot; instead played games, spotted frogs and foxes and explored every inch of this 'fab' property. Perhaps a X-mas visit next?! Many thanks for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to return soon. Gary and Louise were great - close at hand but unintrusive.
After having stayed it before exactly a year ago, we already had high expectations and were wondering if it would be as wonderful as before. It was even better! Thank you so much.
Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.
Merci pour une semaine fantastique dans votre belle maison. Nous avons adoré explorer la Loire et nager dans la piscine était une merveilleuse façon de terminer chaque journée incroyable. Nos enfants ont passé des heures à explorer le jardin et à profiter de l'espace et de la liberté qu'il leur offrait. Merci beaucoup.
Il est rare de trouver une si belle décoration où se côtoient antiquités de grande qualité et art contemporain. Nous avons apprécié l’authenticité des lieux, la nature protégée et la proximité des sites touristiques majeurs. Par leur gentillesse et leurs recommandations, les hôtes ont largement participé à notre agréable séjour. Nous recommandons ce gîte récemment ouvert à la location et en permanente évolution.
Une véritable oasis dans le quartier animé de Sarlat. Très bien située. On peut aller à pied partout. Marché fermier. Restaurant. Magnifique ville animée. Superbe piscine. Superbe jardin. Confortable. Jackie est très serviable et attentionnée.
Une semaine magnifique à fêter plusieurs 50e anniversaires avec quatre amis d'école et leurs familles. Nous avons adoré la piscine et l'ampleur du site.
C'est notre dernière nuit aux Jumelles et nous sommes tous tristes de quitter votre magnifique maison et jardin. Nous n'avons que de bons souvenirs de notre séjour et vous nous avez fait nous sentir extrêmement détendus au cours des deux dernières semaines. Le temps a été parfait et nous a permis beaucoup d'amusement dans la piscine et de profiter de votre fantastique jardin.
Amazing house and garden. So comfortable and so much to admire. We loved the garden, the pol and all the wonderful artefacts in the house. We would love to come back again sometime soon.
Je tiens à vous remercier pour la belle semaine que nous avons passée au Château du Pic de Rigaud. Henrietta était charmante et extrêmement serviable, la demeure était belle sans être trop guindée. Les vues étaient incroyables aussi bien depuis la maison que de la piscine. Nous sommes partis revigorés.
Nous avons passé une semaine agréable en profitant de cette belle maison et de la piscine, des petits-déjeuners et des barbecues à l'extérieur. Nous avons eu une météo très variable mais cela nous a permis de découvrir Périgueux et Saint-Émilion. Nous recommandons vivement Aubeterre et le bar Brasserie de Verteillac Le Calice. What an amazing week in a stunning home. The house is exquisitely designed and the attention to detail is fantastic. The views are beautiful and the area so quiet and peaceful. I slept in one of the bedrooms on the ground floor and had the best night's sleep I've had for years… the mattress is heavenly. Not many people can lie in bed watching red squirrels leaping through the surrounding trees can they! The small kitchen area on the ground floor along with the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms means the whole floor can be very separate and quiet if two families were to share the house. The middle floor is a great entertaining space with a spotless and very modern kitchen with dining / living area leading out to the garden and pool. It was a real treat to have the local bar / restaurant within a short walking distance. It's very easy to sit and enjoy the local wine! The one thing I hadn't bargained for was the abundance of wildlife, although with the roads being so quiet I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. The red squirrels and deer can be seen from the balconies and fantastic infinity pool overlooking the valley. The cushions for the outdoor furniture are very comfy. Once again, there are various areas to sit / eat and enjoy the garden if different age groups or families stay here. So to sum it all up…a fab holiday home in beautiful surroundings – 10 / 10. PS If you attempt the puzzle in the games cupboard… start it as soon as you arrive because it's tricky but irresistible!

La maison est géniale, chaque chambre possède son indépendance en terme de douche et WC. Elle est très spacieuse et bien fournie: un billard, Ping pong, barbecue, rétroprojecteur, énorme cuisine/bar très bien équipée et piscine (non chauffée). L’hôtesse d’accueil est très sympa.
Les Palmiers is a beautiful holiday home. Nestled in a tiny hamlet the house has all the ingredients for a fantastic relaxing break. The garden is beautiful with views over the rolling hills to the distant Pyrenees. Lovely bedding, fluffy thick hotel towels and everything you need to enjoy the holiday. We hope to be back soon. We really enjoyed our trip to Las Tours. The views after the climb were well worth it. Probably preferred it to Carcassonne.
Lovely spacious house. We loved staying here! The rooms were lovely and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable :-) The location was really good to. We enjoyed going down to the riverside cafe, kayaking on the river, cycling, sightseeing, eating! We would definitely come back.
We have had the most delightful holiday! It began with your friendly and welcoming e-mails well before we got here! We have self-catered across Europe in some pretty good places but none quite so lovely as 'The Loft'. The way you prepared it for our arrival, and your warm and generous welcome was simply stunning! We have since enjoyed the quality and comfort of this 'home from home', and your thoughtful attention to all those little details that have made our stay so very special. Our celebration 'bubbly' and delicious cake was a complete surprise and a real treat. We have wondered how it has taken us quite so long to discover the Languedoc, Occitanie! From our all too brief stay we have seen some of the most beautiful countryside, enjoyed the wines and food and visited some of the prettiest towns and villages (many thanks for the suggestion of the Sunday market at Saint-Chinian - what a delight!). We have no doubt that we'll be back and thank you again so much for making us feel so welcome.
An incredible place to disconnect! The hosts treated us very well and took care very well that we did not lack anything. The house is very comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped and with very comfortable beds. All the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. You can tell that they have thought of everything and that they take care of the details with affection. We leave delighted and in love with the region and the environment that surrounds this dream house.
We have spent a wonderful week at the Loft du Vigneron. It has been an ideal base to tour from to see some most interesting places steeped in history. We enjoyed returning to the comfort of the Loft each evening - a true home away from home, equipped with everything we could want - and more! The Loft is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. As a bonus, it has great lighting, a rarity in so many holiday rental properties. Good luck with the renovations. Maybe we can return some day and experience staying in the new rooms.
Lovely private pool and terrace with comfortable accommodation in a picturesque village. Hosts were discrete but friendly and very helpful. The restaurant a short stroll away is definitely worth a visit. Nice walks on the doorstep.
A wonderful holiday. We knew that we would be having a wonderful time at the Loft du Vigneron as soon as we received our first email from Russell and Karen containing an information pack for our holiday. Their attention to detail is second to none and they had thought of everything we might need to know. They also helped us with restaurant reservations for our time in the Minervois. When we arrived we were certainly not disappointed! The Loft is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and extremely well cared for and we had everything we could need for our stay. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and we enjoyed breakfasts, afternoons and evenings on the lovely terrace in the late September warmth. Rieux-Minervois is in an excellent position for exploring the local area, and the village boulangerie and supermarket are within walking distance of the Loft, which was great. Russell and Karen were excellent hosts - there to help if needed but not intruding at all on our privacy. We would definitely recommend The Loft!
I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this house is, with its warm inviting rooms, its wonderful outside spaces and fabulous heated pool. It is decorated in a comfortable style that makes you feel as if you are at home and not in holiday accommodation. It is extremely clean; the kitchen and bathrooms, spotless, The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of clean sheets and towels. The house is fairly large and my husband I and stayed on our own, but we felt safe and secure. Obviously, with all the space, it is ideal for families, but equally as inviting for groups of friends. Situated in a small village, it is quiet - you can hear the church bells ringing in the local church. We loved to walk around the village and through the fields behind the house. We did think about going on a bike ride but decided just to sit by the pool most afternoons. It is an easy drive to Saint-Émilion (and other local vineyards) - my husband managed to find it without getting us lost! The drive from the airport probably took us about 40 minutes. Isabelle gave us wonderful direction - she speaks perfect English. In a word - wonderful!
Loved the location and the winding lane down to the property. Arrived to find a hidden and very private garden that was wonderfully lit at night and with a beautiful pool. Total silence and never saw or heard another person in the week we were there. If you’re looking for a quiet week away from the hassles of a hectic world, then this is the place for you!
Merveilleuse maison pour un séjour en famille, de 7 à 70 ans. Bien équipée et la région est propice à l'exploration. La piscine et le jardin sont les éléments qui ont obtenu le plus de succès.
Nous étions de passage pour un week-end entre amis. Christophe et sa femme nous un réservé un accueil très chaleureux ils sont très à l’écoute et attentionnés. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans leurs maison qui est juste magnifique
