Unusually for a rental, both the house and cottage are exceptionally stylishly decorated. Elegant yet tranquil, each space has a different but harmonious feel. It has all the comforts you could possibly want, including a well stocked kitchen, recently re-done and so thoughtfully laid out, it is a joy to cook in. The garden has been planted so prettily, as you look out beyond the sweeping beds of fragrant lavender, to the gently rolling fields beyond. The Persian garden is just ravishing, certainly unique and the water features most pleasing. The infinity pool is generously sized for those who enjoy their lengths, the water temperature just right. The property itself is tucked away at the end of a tiny, yet enchanting and very peaceful hamlet. It is in a corner of France which is heaven for foodies, spoilt for choice with plenty of markets, lovely produce and an excellent offering of local restaurants.

You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette super maison. La maison est très bien équipée, et nous sommes très bien accueillis. La maison possède pleins de jeux ( billard, ping-pong, train électrique, cabane...) pour adultes et petits, on ne s'ennuie pas même si le beau temps n'est pas au rdv. Enfin la piscine est grande et chauffée ! Bref, super adresse ! Merci!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment à explorer la vallée de la Loire, vivement recommandé, nous avons même pu passer 3 jours au bord de la piscine ! Le jardin est tout simplement magnifique et fait honneur à votre travail acharné.
Des vacances incroyables dans une propriété incroyable. Nous sommes une famille de 6 adultes et 6 enfants et avons passé des vacances au Domaine de Nérige début mai. Quel régal!!! Sandie et David étaient très accueillants et ont fait déployé tous leurs efforts pour en faire des vacances de rêve. La maison était suffisamment vaste pour que nous puissions tous avoir notre propre espace et la piscine a été un véritable succès une fois que nous avons acheté des combinaisons pour les enfants. La terrasse était super avec le barbecue et c'était agréable de pouvoir manger dehors. La maison avait tout ce que nous aurions pu souhaiter. Il y avait même une réserve de vin et de bière au cas où nous ne voudrions pas nous rendre dans les supermarchés. Sandie a organisé des traitements pour nous avec deux thérapeutes brillants et c'était tellement relaxant. Sandie a également préparé un repas pour un soir et c'était fabuleux. Nous avons même reçu les recettes des plats que nous avions choisis. Superbe région avec beaucoup à faire. Nous avons tous convenu que nous n'aurions jamais pu espérer trouver mieux. Des vacances attendues... pour ce coin secret... Un séjour très reposant. Une superbe région. Des visites à nous couper le souffle. Le gouffre de Padirac excellent... Grotte de Lascaux, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Le Rocher des Aigles. Le Labyrinthe du Bugue. Tout était parfait. Une maison pleine de charme qui nous a inspiré pour notre futur bien immobilier. Frédéric et Marilou sont des hôtes formidables toujours de bon conseil du coup nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. Un grand merci.
La chose somme toute incroyable de cette maison, c'est que l'on s'y sent chez soi très vite. Nous sommes comme dans un cocon, magnifique, reposant, vivifiant. Nous avons passé ici 15 jours incroyables, des vacances que nous garderons en souvenir durant des années. Des coins étonnants, une mer enivrante, des découvertes enrichissantes, et une bande d'amis qui se sont rapprochés grâce à ce cadre. Cette villa est d'une beauté et d'une qualité incroyable, le cadre époustouflant entre la vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil sur les Cévennes, la piscine chauffée disponible à toute heure du hour et de la nuit ajoute encore une excellence au cadre. Nous sommes ici au calme bien que nous ayons tout ce qu'il faut autour, notamment à Béziers, au Cap d'Agde, à Sigean... L'Espagne est toute proche pour un dépaysement encore plus accru. Nous reviendrons avec grande joie et vous remercions très chaleureusement.
We have had an excellent week enjoying the peace and quiet of your very beautiful gîte and the tourist sites of the Dordogne and Lot. We hope to visit you again in the future.
Wonderful house full of character. My family had so much fun in the sparkling clean pool. All was laid on in the house and everything so clean.
A beautifully decorated house in a quiet location close to the town. We loved embracing life in Narbonne shopping in the nearby boulangerie and food market. We also recommend hiring one of the small boats on the Canal Robine. We hope to book your home again some day.

Absolutely stunning. We visited the house last summer and had an absolutely amazing time. The house is stunning with views over to Grasse and down toward Cannes. As a family of 5 (children 8, 5 and 12 months), it had everything we needed including a god sized pool and the interiors of the house are beautiful. It is a short drive to the local supermarket and amenities and only 20 minutes drive to the beaches of Cannes and Antibes. Nearby Mougins and Grasse provide an abundance of restaurants. A car is a must as the house is accessed up a steep road but views are spectacular. We can't wait to visit again this summer.
A little corner of paradise ! Everything is perfect; the house, the exteriors, the decoration, the atmosphere.
Nous avons voyagé toute notre vie et avons récemment décidé de changer. Au lieu de partir en randonnée ou de partir en vacances sans cesse en déplacement, nous avons essayé de louer une maison pour nous en servir de base. Nous ne pourrions pas être plus heureux de notre décision, mais le mérite revient en grande partie à cette magnifique villa et à Philippe, un hôte vraiment extraordinaire. Notre seule crainte est que la barre soit désormais placée si haut que les futures locations en pâtiront. Maureilhan, bien que peu importante en elle-même, est parfaitement située pour des excursions dans la région, que ce soit à Sète, Béziers, Roquebrun, Sérignan ou Montpellier. Une dernière remarque : bien que nous ayons loué la villa pour nous-mêmes, nous avons eu trois groupes d'amis qui sont passés quelques jours chacun. Avec ses quartiers séparés, la villa est parfaite pour deux ou trois couples. Les dîners fournis par Philippe à Pour Pas ont été des moments forts. Alors merci, Philippe. Nous n'aurions pas pu nous amuser davantage.
What a beautiful location, breathtaking. A very warm welcome, you feel at home because of the fine reception. The hosts help you with everything you could want. The gîte is also spick and span and meets all your needs. Had a very relaxing holiday. Exactly as it should be! We recommend it to everyone and will definitely come here again.

Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing stay at your ‘Loft’. We have stayed here many times before under previous ownership, but we must say that you have moved it up several notches! The attention to detail is second to none; from the luxurious ‘The White Company’ products to all the goodies in the fridge and cupboards - very much appreciated. The terrace, garden and pool are just so peaceful that we haven’t ventured far! Most of all thank you for being there and for your wonderful company. We hope there will be many more visits to come. The combination of lovely accommodation, beautiful surroundings and the swimming pool made Piglet Barn a wonderful place to stay. In addition to being an interesting and picturesque village, Vouvant is a great location for the start of circular bike rides and walks. We especially enjoyed the riiverside walk, the Sentier des Rives. The Saturday market in Fontenay provides an enjoyable shopping experience. Many thanks for a great holiday.
Very pleasant and restful stay for an extended family. My extended family and I stayed at Château Velouse for two weeks in August. It was a delightful time. The hosts are exceptional. We were treated to a warm welcome after arriving later than usual, after a long and tiring journey. All we needed for supper and the following day's breakfast was provided free and with no fuss. That set the tone for the rest of the stay. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful throughout our time there. Château Velouse easily absorbs a large number of people. High ceilings and wide hallways give a great sense of space. The rooms are large and comfortable. The ensuites are of a high standard and the grounds are magnificent. We all had a magical time. Our sincere thanks to Claire and Phil and Alex for all you did to make this post wedding get together a wonderful success.
Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.
We have been renting in France for 5 years now and this is the best villa we have stayed in. Attention to detail throughout and a lovely garden and pool area which the children loved. The local village is so picturesque with fabulous restaurants.
We wanted to find a location that provided peace and tranquillity and allow us all to pause for a while. We sought comfort, privacy and nature and found it all and more at La Metairie de Mespoule. We have just spent two wonderful weeks in late July and early August under the life giving sun of South Western France. We explored the beautiful villages, we ate in a raft of superb restaurants and we came back each day to the enjoy the tranquillity offered by the Metairie. The accommodation is perfect for a family holiday, the kitchen / living area is perfectly appointed and the outside terrace much used by us all. The naturally heated pool is an inspired choice and proved to be very popular with us all as did the BBQ area, the table tennis and an evening game of pétanque on the gravelled driveway. Catherine and Jono are perfect hosts offering as much or as little support and guidance as required – we opted for a private wine tour which was fabulous. We give the strongest of recommendations for anyone looking for a perfectly relaxing holiday.
