Fellow visitors, make sure to enjoy a book by the pool, cycle around, bus into Pau, and search 'Pau Canoe Kayak'.
We had a very relaxing stay at Colombat Cottage. Lots of walking and floating in your lovely pool.

Thank you so very much Benjy, Kate and Issy for welcoming us to the property. We have had the most heavenly week here and we leave feeling thoroughly relaxed. The lands, vineyards and pool are all spectacular and a fabulous location for a group of friends. The weather has been glorious and to be honest, it has been quite difficult to drag ourselves away from the house and pool… However, we did venture to Fontevraud (which we loved), and we discovered a couple of the local markets. We were very grateful for the small touches that made our stay special – the beautiful turn of the winery, the supplies of food (and drinks!) and the comfy beds and copious linen and towels. We also enjoyed cooking on the Aga – risotto, roast chicken etc. Delicious food to accompany your STUNNING wine! We very much hope to return one day.
We have been visiting France on a regular basis for very many years. In more recent times we have been searching for a place that we might return to, and return to; a home away from home. We need look no more. The Loft is beautiful and a testament to great care and wonderful taste. The garden is inspirational, Mack and Mabel are a delight and Rieux is just what we had hoped for. Above all we think that we have been fortunate in meeting such kind and wonderful hosts who we now regard as friends. In summary our whole experience has been truly exceptional.
A wonderful first week to our holidays. The house is wonderfully renovated and has everything a family can wish! We also had the chance of a very warm weather which gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great terrace and had al fresco dining every day. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful property. PS: The Auberge St Jean is a must eat in the area!
Merci. Ce furent encore deux semaines fabuleuses aux Granels pour nous. Et nous avons adoré les nouveautés: le bain à remous et le terrain de beach-volley.
Nous avons pleinement profité de notre semaine dans ce magnifique cottage de conte de fées. Le cadre est superbe, des charmants jardins qui entourent la maison aux arbres gracieux qui entourent la piscine. La grande piscine était l'endroit idéal pour se détendre, malgré les températures qui ont dépassé les 40 °C cette semaine. Le cottage est frais et spacieux, et offre tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour agréable. Son emplacement est également idéal pour explorer la région, riche en sites historiques intéressants et en villages charmants à visiter. Nos hôtes, Caterina et Stephen, étaient sympathiques et accueillants. Ils ont veillé à notre intimité, tout en restant toujours disponibles en cas de besoin. Nous recommandons sans hésiter ce magnifique cottage et espérons pouvoir y retourner prochainement.
Driving down the lane to Maison Bourriette, you know you are on holiday. The farmhouse, set in lovely grounds with views over the countryside, is charming, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. There are markets, hilltop villages and beautiful country walks on the doorstep to explore and then a wonderful warm pool to really unwind! Evenings relaxing by lamplight in the stunning courtyard with wine and friends - memories are made of this!
We had a lovely lazy two weeks by the pool! With the hot weather the air conditioning was very welcoming at night time. We have used Pure France several times over the last 6 years and this villa has definitely been the best equipped and most accurately described. 5 / 5.

House: Fantastic. Idyllic. Perfect. Classical. Beautiful. Spacious. Practical. Comfortable. Beautiful area for touring (Brantôme, Jarnac). Garden: Very child friendly. Garden Jenga etc. Clean and very safe. Beautiful pool and alfresco dining areas. Also adult friendly. V good Gas BBQ.

A perfect villa with a perfect property manager. We are six retired Americans who travel together often. The property manager is most responsive we have dealt with. If messaged at a reasonable hour she respond in minutes. Now add to that a wonderful modernised property in a wonderful location and you get what we got, a perfect vacation. The property manager arranged a driver and a cook and both were outstanding. The property has stunning views and easy access to rail, within walking distance of fine restaurants and the privacy all renters seek. If you are visiting the south of France and you want to be a short distance from all things and a short train ride to Cannes and Nice, you cannot do better than this property and you will not find a better property manager. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.
Cottage du Jardin est magnifiquement entretenu et présente un intérieur magnifique. Ce qui nous a vraiment impressionnés, c'est son emplacement paisible au sein du parc des propriétaires et la piscine paisible où l'on peut se prélasser un après-midi ensoleillé. Le cottage se trouve à environ 5 à 10 minutes à pied du village. Vous y trouverez une petite épicerie proposant de tout pour satisfaire vos besoins, ainsi qu'un restaurant proposant de délicieux repas à des prix très raisonnables. À essayer absolument lors de votre séjour. Si vous préférez faire vos courses, deux grands supermarchés sont à 10 minutes en voiture, sur la route de Montignac. Montignac est une jolie ville avec de charmants restaurants au bord de la rivière. Le cottage est idéalement situé pour visiter les sites touristiques locaux, qu'il s'agisse d'un château comme le Château de Losse ou le Château des Milandes avec ses magnifiques jardins, ou de jolies villes et villages, nos préférés étant Saint-Léon, La Roque-Gageac et Domme. Un ciel bleu magnifique tous les jours avec des températures atteignant 36 degrés un jour. Cela nous a donné l'excuse parfaite pour passer quelques jours à nous prélasser au bord de la piscine et à nous ressourcer dans un cadre magnifique. En résumé, grâce au gîte, à la météo et à des hôtes parfaits, nous avons passé une semaine formidable, mais nous sommes repartis un peu tristes. Cependant, nous savons que nous reviendrons, plus longtemps la prochaine fois, car il y a encore beaucoup à voir dans cette belle région de France. Ce furent vraiment nos meilleures vacances. The house is pleasant and the host is welcoming. There is space for a large group. It is easy to park in front of the house and there is also an option to park in the garden. Well located, you can buy bread on the houseboat across the bridge and the bookstore is a must!
What a wonderful week, the house has real soul and you have thoughtfully made the very best of each view. Wonderful seats in the garden, shade and sun to maximise the pleasure. The house is absolutely charming and all the finishing touches have made for a very special week. Not only a holiday but I feel culturally enhanced too. Uzes is absolutely perfect + great shops + food!

Je suis venu préparé cette année avec mes « cours de piano de base pour adultes » et j'ai adoré avoir l'occasion d'essayer et de jouer à nouveau. Pas sûr que ce soit aussi agréable pour ceux qui écoutaient ! Merci à Frédéric et Natasha pour tout ce qu'ils font pour que nos 2 semaines se passent au mieux.

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique et sommes très reconnaissants envers les propriétaires. La maison est belle et très rustique (ce que nous avons adoré) mais bénéficie surtout d'un cadre champêtre époustouflant… encore une fois, nous avons adoré. Les hôtes, Helen et James, sont très gentils et intéressants et ils ont été très serviables lorsque notre voiture a crevé un pneu. La piscine est l'une des plus belles dans lesquelles nous ayons été avec une agréable eau salée et toujours à la bonne température. Un superbe séjour.
We had a truly relaxing stay at this lovely property. Immaculate and well equipped- perfectly combining a traditional French property with a modern interior. Most of our time spent chilling by the pool and enjoying the rural surroundings. Christophe was an excellent host always respecting our privacy but helping us out with things such as a wine tasting and setting up the BBQ. The local town Monsegur worth a visit for meals and drinks out - would recommend that you need a car to get around. There was only 4 of us but lots of space to accommodate a larger group - the outside covered space by the pool giving shade from the sunshine if needed. Wished we could have stayed for longer.
We have had a wonderful week at Château du Pic de Rigaud and enjoyed every minute! The weather has got better and better and we've had perfect days by the pool. The château has been incredibly comfortable and provided everything we needed. We have enjoyed exploring Najac including the Wednesday evening market. Thank you to Henrietta and Peter for all your help and bookings. We will miss this wonderful house and grounds and our morning walks to the Boulangerie. We hope to return.
Des vacances géniales dans cette jolie maison. Nous avons adoré la piscine. La salle de jeux améliorée était incroyable par rapport à notre dernier séjour il y a 7 ans. Trois générations de 71 à 11 ans et nous l'avons tous adorée, nous nous sommes bien amusés toute la semaine.
Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques aux Granels, la propriété était spectaculaire et nos vacances en famille mémorables.

Whether we were exploring the nearby historic villages, indulging in the region’s incredible food and wine, or simply relaxing on the terrace, every moment felt special. La Petite Maison Générille is more than just a place to stay - it's an experience, one that lingers long after you leave. We can't wait to return!
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle villa, décorée avec goût. Le propriétaire est charmant. De façon générale, la maison est très fonctionnelle. Cependant, la villa est pour un maximum de 4 et n'est pas conçue pour plus de personnes. Proche de Pézenas, jolie ville où sortir. Je recommande chaleureusement cette maison.
Nous avons passé d'incroyables vacances en famille au Château , où nous avons fêté notre anniversaire en grand groupe. Le château, le bâtiment annexe et le vaste parc privé sont magnifiques et très reposants. Nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin et le lieu était d'une propreté impeccable. Les hôtes ont pensé à tout et nous avons hâte de revenir.
We had a lovely stay! The house was completely to our taste, with a magnificent garden and a superb view which allows you to completely disconnect. Everything is available. Tessa who welcomed us was charming. The Mas is even nicer than on the photos. Ideal for a stay with friends or family. We highly recommend.
We enjoyed a very happy week at the villa. The only problem was that the villa is so nice that most of our plans for getting out and about were abandoned! We loved the privacy of the garden and pool area.
