This villa is amazing. The accommodation is fabulous with a lovely kitchen/dining/lounge area, comfortable beds, great showers and very effective air-conditioning. The pool and outside areas are excellent. We were a family group ranging from 15 to 72 years and we all had a wonderful time. The owners are friendly and welcoming, there if you need them, otherwise extremely discreet. We would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Two splendid weeks relaxing and sight seeing with a very beautiful home to come back too. We can't fault the house, we especially loved the kitchen, pool room, swimming pool and of course the marvellous views.
Nous avons passé une nuit dans cette jolie villa perdue au fond des bois et des vignes lors d'une soirée de mariage tout près ( domaine de Franco, superbe lieu également). Nous étions au calme (et pour cause, aucun voisin à la ronde). La villa est tres bien équipée. La literie est excellente. Magnifique.

Our favourite moments were the ping pong and relaxing by the pool :) We recommend Brantôme, Aubeterre and the night market at Verteillac (Thursday eves).
Fabulous house and grounds – loved it. Very high standard, cleanliness, and equipment. Ideal for 3 generations – children loved the playroom. Two catered meals – excellent and much appreciated. Very friendly and hospitable hosts couldn't do enough for us.
We have enjoyed a 2-week stay at Le Tesquet. We were Pete’s first guests last year and our second visit has been as special as our first stay. Pete has been a delightful host, checking on us daily to make sure everything was OK. The pool has been such a delight in this hot and sunny weather. The highlights of our stay are the wonderful views from the gite and the tranquillity of furniture and fittings.
Such a lovely peaceful and quiet place in Gers. Thank you for a warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, the pool, the beautiful views across the countryside. The house is very well equipped and we found some great restaurants and good supermarket shopping in Fleurance, Lectoure and slightly further afield. A great week!

Cette année, la météo a été parfaite et nous avons vraiment apprécié nos excursions à Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, les grottes et le canoë sur la rivière du Auemant-du-Dropt. Beautiful location with magnificent views with vines and sunflowers. Charming host. Perfect for running and walking. Good clean pool with covered area alongside so ideal for being in the shade. House very comfortable with all amenities including air con throughout.

The highlights for me were swimming lengths in the warm pool, strolling around the beautiful garden with all the different types of trees (olive, fig, pomegranate etc) and exploring the delightful surrounding Provence countryside in its full glory. Despite being a large group of people, the house always felt cool and spacious and the amenities functioned perfectly. There is also a marvellous restaurant within walking distance. Thank you again for making my holiday so enjoyable.
Had an amazing holiday. The villa could not have been better. Had everything we needed including free Wi-Fi and access to English TV. The pool was great and heated so we could go in it all the time. The area was lovely. Food was brilliant and overall we have a really lovely holiday and would definitely come back to the villa.

À l’intérieur, tout est mis en place pour un séjour confortable pour tous : les enfants ont adoré les hamacs ! Merci de la rendre si accueillante. J'espère que nous reviendrons très bientôt.
Peaceful location with beautiful views. The building has been really thoughtfully renovated. The open nature of the outdoor area meant you could always choose to be in/out of sun, always a breeze. A fab place for a family holiday. Great for cycling, locals super friendly. Delicious food and wine. We will definitely be back! We recommend the closest town, Monségur, the most for food, drinks and ambience. The local wine co-operative were also very friendly with great recommendations. We also recommend La Salle a Manger for food or just for a drink.
Château du Mas is magnificent. The rooms are well proportioned with high ceilings so always feels cool. The is so much to explore in the grounds and great tuning trails. Great BBQ for outdoor al fresco dining. Huge table under a pergola for long leisurely lunches or dinners. The swimming pool is lovely and a great size for lengths with lots of loungers. Sharp, sharp knives. First time ever in a rental! Huge range cooker which is immaculate. Blenders, graters and simple to use bottle opener! The owners were fabulous! Our children are 9 and 12 and they loved playing the Wii in the playroom. Wish I had found the château when they were a baby and a toddler as tons of toys to occupy them with.10/10. 5 star throughout. Recommended.

Beautiful house, view and garden with high trees and flowers in a quiet area. Nice shaded lounge area with comfortable sofas for 8 people. We all loved this house even if it’s far away from bakery and shopping.
What a fantastic house. It is so peaceful. The views are amazing and the different light throughout the day makes it all wonderful. We loved the pool and having barbecues in the evening. Thank you.
Excellent home and facilities. Everything exceeded our expectations. Lovely space. Catering: deicious - it was so lovely to arrive to hot food after a long journey and to not have to worry about shopping for the first few days. Friendly and approachable service. We wanted to find a location that provided peace and tranquillity and allow us all to pause for a while. We sought comfort, privacy and nature and found it all and more at La Metairie de Mespoule. We have just spent two wonderful weeks in late July and early August under the life giving sun of South Western France. We explored the beautiful villages, we ate in a raft of superb restaurants and we came back each day to the enjoy the tranquillity offered by the Metairie. The accommodation is perfect for a family holiday, the kitchen / living area is perfectly appointed and the outside terrace much used by us all. The naturally heated pool is an inspired choice and proved to be very popular with us all as did the BBQ area, the table tennis and an evening game of pétanque on the gravelled driveway. Catherine and Jono are perfect hosts offering as much or as little support and guidance as required – we opted for a private wine tour which was fabulous. We give the strongest of recommendations for anyone looking for a perfectly relaxing holiday.

C'est nos deuxièmes vacances en famille dans cette magnifique maison. L'accueil réservé par Ian et Hugh à notre arrivée a été excellent. La maison et le jardin sont parfaitement entretenus et la qualité de l'hébergement est digne d'un « cinq étoiles ». Nous nous y sommes sentis comme chez nous, bien loin de l'ambiance impersonnelle d'une location de vacances classique. La présence des propriétaires sur place était un atout précieux ; ils ont su nous conseiller sur les activités locales et les restaurants... Il y a beaucoup à faire dans la région, et la proximité de certains des meilleurs vignobles au monde constitue un avantage majeur. Nous avons également passé une superbe journée à Bordeaux, ville facilement accessible en voiture ou en train et qui vaut vraiment le détour. Nous prévoyons d'y revenir l'été prochain et je recommanderais sans hésiter ce havre de paix merveilleux à quiconque souhaite profiter d'une hospitalité exceptionnelle ! Merci Ian et Hugh, vous avez créé un lieu vraiment unique !
