Nous avons passé deux semaines extraordinaires dans cette magnifique propriété. À notre arrivée, nous avons été submergés par la beauté de la maison. Elle a été conçue avec amour selon des normes haut de gamme et possède certainement le facteur « wow » à l'arrivée. Frédéric et le personnel étaient très serviables et ont rendu notre séjour très spécial. Merci de partager ce bel endroit avec nous.

Absolutely amazing views. I spent few glorious days in that beautiful villa in South of France. The house has hypnotising views and all the surroundings and accommodation were perfect, modern facilities but still warm and welcoming vibe.

We have just come back from having a fab week. It was beautiful. We had a week of wonderful hot sunshine which prevented us from using the wonderful sitting room and the fire. This would be a great place for the cooler parts of the year as well as the summer. Also the kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen that we have ever had the pleasure to use on a self catering holiday. The Garden was lovely. All in all a great place.
We have had another wonderful stay at Villa Gailinette. This is a place where you can feel at home and out of your day to day life at the same time! Thank you so much for all the comfort provided... nothing is missing, all you need is there including peace and beautiful weather.

Nous avons réussi à voir nos amis à Brinon-sur-Sauldre, visité Saumur (vu le château et les feux d'artifice pour le 14 juillet) et avons également organisé un dîner sur place. Merci pour votre fabuleuse hospitalité. (Nous avons également arrosé les petits pots près de la porte du jardin, tous les jours, les fleurs à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la maison ont été magnifiques !) Merci bien et au revoir !
Ma famille a passé 3 semaines fantastiques à La Barde, une ferme magnifiquement rénovée. Tellement fantastique, en fait, que nous avons confirmé une nouvelle réservation pour l'année suivante avant de partir. Nous avons trouvé la propriété extrêmement spacieuse, rénovée et décorée avec goût et dotée de tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour le quotidienne de la famille. La piscine sécurisée est parfaite pour les enfants et nous avions tous hâte de nous y rafraîchir chaque après-midi après avoir exploré les différents marchés locaux et d'autres merveilleuses excursions. La piscine est en fait assez grande, ce qui signifie que les membres les plus enthousiastes de notre groupe pouvaient faire de l'exercice correctement et nager pendant que le reste d'entre nous se détendait et buvait des vins locaux. La partie peu profonde est idéale pour que les jeunes enfants puissent jouer ou pratiquer la natation et il y a une pataugeoire légèrement séparée qui est parfaite pour les bébés et les tout-petits. Il y a une grange avec un grand barbecue que nous avons utilisé la plupart des soirs, une table de ping-pong et de nombreux jeux de pelouse. La cour, la pelouse et les jardins sont évidemment entretenus avec amour et tout simplement magnifiques. La Barde est le cadre idéal pour que les enfants jouent et que la famille et les amis se détendent, discutent, mangent et boivent. Helen et John nous ont réservé un accueil chaleureux et étaient heureux de nous aider pour toutes les informations dont nous avions besoin. Ils ont gentiment partagé avec nous de délicieux fruits de leur jardin, que nous avons beaucoup aimé cuisiner et manger. Nous pensons que c'est l'endroit idéal pour les groupes d'amis ou les familles qui souhaitent passer des vacances ensemble et célébrer des occasions spéciales (ce serait un endroit formidable où organiser un mariage ou passer Noël) car la taille et la disposition de la maison et du terrain signifient qu'il y a beaucoup d'espace pour que plus d'une famille soit rassemblée mais suffisamment d'espace pour garder de l'intimité. L'emplacement est idéal pour découvrir la Dordogne. Nous vous recommandons fortement de réserver cette propriété à toute période de l'année. Nous n'en revenons pas de notre chance et avons hâte d'y retourner cet été !

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour ici, en particulier le temps passé dans le magnifique jardin où nous avons profité du temps magnifique et où nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés - très agréable pour mon enfant de 5 ans ! De plus, l'odeur parfumée des fleurs fraîches était extrêmement accueillante et apportait une touche spéciale. Nous recommanderions certainement cette belle maison de vacances à nos amis et à notre famille ! Merci beaucoup.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic home! After a warm welcome we managed to settle down to enjoy all the facilities and the actual location of this beautiful area. Nous avons tous adoré notre séjour ici. Nous aurions aimé réserver deux semaines. C'est une maison très traditionnelle, mais vous avez fourni tout le confort moderne nécessaire, sans compromettre l'ambiance du gîte. J'espère y retourner. Nous avons passé des après-midis agréables à la piscine et à admirer le magnifique coucher de soleil depuis l'allée. Nous avons apprécié les spectacles sur la place de Verteillac, devant le bar Le Calice. La belle ville de Brantôme est à visiter absolument.
We have just spent an amazing fortnight at Maison Labarde in Lauzun hosted by Jean and Martyn. The gite is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and is cool inside, even in hot weather. Jean kindly provided many complementary extras for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A great outside kitchen with gas BBQ and additional fridge was perfect for outdoor dining and drinking! The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily by Martyn and there were various floats, water toys and inflatables available; the water temperature was just right- in fact it didn’t drop below 28 degrees for the whole fortnight. We enjoyed the extensive garden using the various seating areas available, all with parasols/ gazebo for shade if needed. It’s a lovely part of France with lots of Bastide towns to visit with markets, fetes and musical events in the summer months, as well as vineyards and châteaux for wine tastings at every turn!! Jean and Martyn were excellent hosts, friendly and informative about local events and places to visit. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday gite and hope that we can return at some point in the future! Merci beaucoup!!
A lovely family house beautifuly equipped Immaculate property, all the bedrooms are great with the addition of air con in the master bedroom, great kitchen, bathrooms and perfect showers! British TV to keep the kids entertained. The pool area is sheltered and a real sun trap! Our favourite time was BBQ in the evening on the first floor terrace with beautiful views . Very convenient for a stroll onto the pretty village with bars restaurants and lovely markets. Superb unspoilt beaches only 20 minutes away. Highly recommend going into Narbonne only half an hour away, you must visit the indoor food market.

Vous avez transformé ce bâtiment en une maison des plus merveilleuses et, plus encore, en une maison accueillante et confortable, nous nous sentons privilégiés d'y avoir séjourné. Il ne nous manquait rien (sauf peut-être un peu plus de soleil et un peu moins de vent). Tous ceux qui nous y ont rejoint ont exprimé leur même appréciation. Merci beaucoup. At Les Oliviers du Sud we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!

We've had a fantastic week in your beautiful home with all its attention to detail. Thank you so much – the pool table has been a great novelty, the sports equipment and bikes have entertained us for hour. We’ve loved visiting the bastides and swimming in the lake and the Lot.

Nous avons passé un super séjour tout était au rendez-vous le calme, le soleil, la piscine, un gîte super bien équipé de quoi faire des bonnes balades. Nous avons rencontré de nombreux animaux chevreuils, hibou, aigrettes et surtout les ânes pour le grand plaisir des enfants. Un pur moment en famille très ressourçant. Thank you both for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. We’ve had the most incredible week exploring the South of France – an area we love – and discovering new places. This spot is extremely special and we’ve relished the relaxing days and evenings spent here (made even more special by the sighting of a wild boar with babies and your marvellous set up for the gorgeous cats) – thank you for showing us this! The secluded spot, surrounded by woodland, an aromatic and fragrant garden attracting many butterflies, a beautiful pool and terrace area is somewhere we won’t forget and would love to come back to. Everything has been thought of at this place which makes it so homely. Everything from kitchen utensils and supplies to the BBQ, bowls and the TV set-up – the place has it all. You have both been such friendly and discrete hosts, allowing us such privacy and the personality you have stamped on the place (from plants, to artwork and sculptures as well as the lovely cats) makes this space so full of character too. Thanks again and we wish you both the best – hopefully we’ll return in the future!
