Cette villa est magnifique. Nous avons passé une semaine exceptionnelle. Très moderne hyper équipée avec une déco de tres bon goût, haut de gamme. Nous avons été charmés par la villa. Les propriétaires sont très sympas. Très bien située à 15 mn à pied du plus beau village de France. Nous avons l'habitude de louer des villas de prestige. Celle-ci sans aucun doute à sa place sur le podium. Je dirais même sur la plus haute marche en tenant compte de la gentillesse de Karine et Éric, les propriétaires. Nous recommandons vivement !
We’re sad to be leaving this beautiful place, have had such a relaxing week lying in the beautiful garden, pottering around your thoughtfully equipped house, have loved every minute here - thank you! And thanks to Nathalie and Mike who were so lovely and helpful.
We celebrated a week's holiday with 6 adult children and 2 grandchildren. The house is equipped with all modern conveniences, has a beautiful and complete interior, but still has an authentic appearance. The space in and around the house is gigantic and there is plenty of entertainment for everyone: from a nice swimming pool with many sun loungers to a room with numerous games and a good tennis court. Highly recommended for a family holiday. We will definitely go back again.
Nous sommes une famille de 4 personnes qui avons décidé de découvrir le Périgord. Nous avons regardé cette propriété et sommes tombés amoureux de l'extérieur : le château lui-même et le magnifique jardin avec piscine. La décoration intérieure était unique car il y avait un très joli salon avec un piano qui me rappelait le style du 18ème siècle tandis que la salle à manger avait des éléments plus médiévaux. Le deuxième étage comportait de nombreuses chambres, ce qui était très bien pour le reste de notre famille qui nous a rejoint plus tard. À cet étage, il y a aussi une deuxième salle de télévision où tous les adolescents traînaient. Nous avons dîné à l'intérieur le matin et dehors le soir. Nous avons apprécié les barbecues et (beaucoup) de bon vin. Les voisins, qui sont également des amis du propriétaire, étaient très serviables et gentils. Nous avons découvert toutes sortes d'attractions comme visiter des châteaux, déguster du vin, faire du kayak sur la Dordogne et assister à de grandes fêtes organisées par différents villages tout au long de l'été. Bref, nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos vacances dans ce magnifique château ! Nous reviendrons certainement pour d'autres vacances.
Merci beaucoup pour votre aimable hospitalité et votre belle villa. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine ici. Tout est prévu, vous avez fourni tout ce dont nous avions besoin... et bien plus encore ! Nous avons passé 95% de nos vacances au bord de la piscine, l'espace extérieur est tellement relaxant. Wonderful time with the big family. The beautiful Château Velouse offers plenty of space for a large family or friends, with a great kitchen, a large dining room and a cozy living room. Almost each of the eight traditionally decorated bedrooms are having their own modern bathroom. The huge park is great for own dogs, which you can easy bring with you.
A beautiful property in a nice quiet location but still close to many interesting places to visit. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable and there was a lovely covered eating area outside. We also really loved the pool. We especially enjoyed canoeing on the Dordogne and visiting Domme and Le Jardin Marqueyssac. We also left something behind which Victoire kindly sent on to us.
Thank you so much for allowing us to share your wonderful home, you have been such lovely hosts. Special thanks for helping with the French bureaucracy when we had the issue with the rental car.
The house is a magical island setting in the countryside, with a wonderful rural and secluded ambiance. The size and comfort are simply perfect. I loved the morning runs in nature and the breakfasts on the terrace. Carelle and her husband are warm and supportive owners. The three dogs present themselves from time to time as friendly travelers. A great experience.
An amazing house in a part of France which is so rich of culture, beauty, villages, churches, fields of sunflowers and I must say, it is difficult to leave the house... real stylish home. The kitchen inspires to cook, the outside place gives you the opportunity to swim, read, eat, enjoy the sun. The bedrooms, mattresses and linen and perfect.

Simply a wonderful holiday, house and village We're just back from spending a week in this fabulous house in a great little village. The house had everything to make our stay totally comfortable with loads of space for our party of two couples and could have accommodated two or three more people easily. The pool and pool area were great with plenty of loungers and seating with a nice shaded area for refuge from the sun at the hight of the afternoon but best of all there is a great terrace where we spent the warm evenings with a glass or three of our favourite tipple. We were able to join in the fun and celebrations in the local bars as France progressed in the World Cup, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The village itself has all we would want bakeries, a couple of bars and restaurants with pretty good food and all just 1 to 2 minutes walk from the house, there is even a good supermarket 5 minutes walk away. All in all we had a great holiday and can't wait to go back next year, 5 stars from us.
Nos vacances à La Charmante Distillerie ont été absolument superbes ! Mark et Gary ont été des hôtes exceptionnels et ont rendu notre expérience inoubliable, de la réservation jusqu'à notre départ ! Nous y retournerons sans hésiter, car c'est de loin le meilleur endroit où nous ayons séjourné. L'attention portée aux détails était exceptionnelle et nous avons été très à l'aise du début à la fin. Ils ont tout mis en œuvre pour que cette villa de vacances soit incroyable et ils ont fait tout leur possible pour nous satisfaire. C'est un 5 étoiles et plus à tous points de vue. Une magnifique villa dans un endroit calme avec tant de choses à découvrir. Merci Mark et Gary d'avoir fait de nos vacances en famille un moment inoubliable, et nous reviendrons bientôt pour en profiter à nouveau !
Nous sommes très heureux de notre séjour dans votre villa. Nous espérons revenir bientôt. Merci beaucoup pour vos conseils, nous avons aimé notre promenade au lac du Salagou, très jolie.
Pour ceux qui profiteront des Jumelles : cette maison a été un vrai petit paradis pour mon mari, moi et nos deux neveux. Elle est très bien aménagée avec toutes les commodités dont vous aurez besoin. Nous avons passé ces vacances à la mi-juin et avons trouvé que la maison était très fraîche avec une belle brise. Une délicate attention très appréciée: avoir une rose fraîchement coupée dans chaque chambre à notre arrivée. Nous nous sommes retrouvés à tellement profiter de la maison et du jardin que nous avons essayé d'y prendre tous nos dîners (soupers). Nos hôtes étaient très sympathiques jamais intrusifs et nous ont fourni de merveilleuses suggestions en termes de sites à visiter dans la région. Nous avons planifié une journée sur Paris et les deux propriétaires nous ont aidés à nous fournir un planning solide pour optimiser notre temps là-bas pour nos neveux qui n'y étaient jamais allés. Nous recommanderons certainement cette destination à nos amis et à nos proches et nous essaierons même de revenir dans un avenir pas trop lointain. Merci. PS : La douche est super mais demandez l'astuce pour la mettre en route !
Je veux vraiment garder ce bijou caché pour moi ! C’est super. L’appartement est ce que nous souhaitons tous avoir. Deux chambres avec lits doubles. Belle vue sur la mer depuis le balcon. Parking privé. Endroit privé avec chaises côté mer. Beach club très proche. Relaxant et facile de communiquer avec le propriétaire Paul. À l’arrivée, Ben était là avec les clés et beaucoup de conseils sur la région. Réservation arrangée, etc. Très facile d’accès et super serviable. Donc n’y allez pas car nous voulons y aller plus souvent !
Where to begin? Booked this wonderful house 10 months ago. Often looked at the pictures and thought can anywhere be so perfect... it can! The sheer joy of walking from room to room, spending entire days outside by and in the pool. Simple living in a sumptuous house which just keeps giving with it's character, beautiful art and furniture. Was this as perfect as I imagined? Absolutely. Would I come back? Without a doubt. Loved every minute'
The house was spacious and very comfortable. The attention to detail made it feel like a five-star experience and well had a most fantastic and restful nights sleep.
Spacious, comfortable and stylish. The house has a super atmosphere. It’s really spacious, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms have all you need. The pool was spotless and such a treat that it’s just yours to use. The house sits very near to the village. Just a couple of minutes walk to the Square and the little market that seems to visit every Saturday and on two other days too. You can get all you need from there or from the little super market nearby. The terrace was fab for eating our meals outside and just off the kitchen. Bbq worked well too. Over all it was definitely a 10 out of 10 stay. The owners have thought of everything. We really loved the enormous wall hangings.

I found peace in both the house and the surrounding area. The house itself felt like home. And the town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, just a short walk / bike ride away was charming and welcoming, to say the least. Located centrally, I found that the entire South of France was accessible, though I never wanted to leave lovely Mas de Pitou. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
I can only agree wholeheartedly with what Sue and Mike have written. You have a lovely home and I have really enjoyed my stay here. The weather could have been better but you more than made up for it with your company. Thank you so much and good luck for the future. Hopefully I will be back to listen to more of Russell's stories!

Great place to stay and perfect for the three families we had on our trip. The children loved the pool and boules court and the adults loved sitting on the patio with a glass of rosé watching the sun set. Look forward to coming back.
