This property is so beautiful you may not want to venture out, but if you do there are great restaurants and bars nearby as well as lovely walks and biking trails. The rooms are very comfortable, all en-suite and everything you could wish for is provided. The huge swimming pool / pool house / relaxing / eating and barbecue areas mean that you can be outside all the time but the gorgeous well equipped kitchen and indoor rooms offer a cool alternative. Cant wait to go back!
Cannot say enough about how relaxing and wonderful was our holiday at Mas Saint Cernin: from the quality of the accommodation, to the fantastic location, the brilliant pool and the warm and helpful welcome from John and Lesley. Three generations spanning the under ten to the over seventies loved every moment of our stay. We all enjoyed the pool and the grounds with all the interesting things to see and do on the doorstep. We aim to return but think we might want to book early to do so!

La villa est fantastique avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin et il a été si facile de s'y détendre et de profiter de nos vacances. Merci d'être un hôte aussi fantastique, Cédric. Nous recommanderons certainement la villa à nos amis et à notre famille et espérons revenir bientôt.
We enjoyed the house, pool and garden. We took a private boar charter on the canal. We visited restaurants and enjoyed using the 'running track' around the garden.
Alors que nous roulions vers le Nord, sur le chemin du retour, nous nous remémorions nos bons souvenirs de cette semaine passée. Votre belle maison, avec tant de caractère de confort a certainement fait toute la différence dans nos vacances. Nous l'avons tant appréciée que, j'en suis presque gêné de l'avouer, nous ne sommes sortis qu'une seule après-midi pour aller faire un tour au Lac Saint Cassien. Nous avons profité de tout... pétanque, les deux terrasses, barbecue, tennis de table, le magnifique patio extérieur, la piscine etc, etc... Les trois petits enfants de 2 ans et demi, 14 mois et 5 mois ont tous adoré! En fait, le petit de 1 an a fait ses premiers pas dans votre jardin! Ce fut des vacances très spéciales pour nous tous et nous voulions tout simplement vous dire un grand merci de nous avoir accueillis.
Beautiful house - everything you could possibly need for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday. We loved it so much here we only ventured away from the property for 2 half days. We would love to return! A huge thank you to Gary and Louise for managing the property so well and giving expert local knowledge.
Merci de nous avoir accueillis dans cette belle maison. Nous avons tous beaucoup apprécié, tout était parfait. Nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Pézenas est une ville magnifique. Nous avons adoré l'explorer et séjourner ici.
Galina était une hôtesse formidable et accommodante. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans sa villa. Les photos et les descriptions sont exactes. À noter simplement que les chambres communicantes du premier étage ont une entrée indépendante. De manière plus générale et même s'il y a quelques éléments qui pourraient être améliorés, nous recommanderons certainement la villa.
Can't believe the stay is almost at an end. We have had a lovely time and the weather promised poorly but delivered very well, which enabled daily swimming in the brilliant pool. We all enjoyed the games of TT (table tennis) and boules competitions. So many interesting things to do in the surrounding area; we only managed Bergerac twice. Once for a wine tasting in the wonderful Maison du Vin and once for a very enjoyable boat trip. Golfing Black Kheri and the walk around the lake Les Graoussettes. The cave at Les Eyzies was very informative and curious to note the difference in scenery; handles not to be missed! Apart from the BBQ provided, we happened on Thursday Market at Monpazier; simply great and such a pretty place. We also enjoyed the marché gourmand at Villeréal (every Monday from 6.30pm. Bring tablecloth, cutlery and drinking vessels). Their counterparts in Issigeac on Thursdays during summer. Restaurant L’Atelier in Issigeac was a wonderful treat on our penultimate day and we would suggest booking a place at their mini, shared table and great food and plenty of wine.
This villa was the perfect place for a two family holiday. The pool was very cool and refreshing after a hot day of sight-seeing / shopping! The whole two week trip was plenty relaxing and a lot of fun! This house is gorgeous. We will not forget this trip! P.S. a great pizza place down the road!
Gorgeous. Very well maintained, yet still updated with modern amenities. All in all, an amazing stay and trip and we'd recommend Château Charente to anyone touring the area.

C'est avec le cœur lourd que notre famille de 3 générations quitte ce lieu merveilleux et magique ! Nous avons passé une semaine ici et nous sommes tous d'accord pour dire que ce n'était pas assez long ! Par où je commence? Le château lui-même est vraiment magnifique et avoir la chance de séjourner dans un château avec une vue magnifique est un rêve devenu réalité. Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreux endroits au fil des ans et pouvons constater que beaucoup de réflexion a été menée pour en faire un lieu de vacances aussi confortable pour tous, y compris les tout-petits. Nous espérons revenir! En attendant, un grand merci à Henrietta pour toute son aide avant et pendant notre séjour. Elle a même organisé l'achat d'un nouveau lit pour notre petit-fils de 3 ans. Très attentionné et bien au-delà du sens du devoir.
A wonderful stay at Mas du Château!! The home has everything you need and even more!! From the decor to the amenities to the exteriors, everything was at its best! Christophe was very attentive and ultra available!! The ideal PLACE to have a great time with friends and family!!
La maison est magnifique et les photos en ligne ne lui rendent pas justice, nous regretterons de partir à la fin de notre séjour.
We have just come back from having a fab week. It was beautiful. We had a week of wonderful hot sunshine which prevented us from using the wonderful sitting room and the fire. This would be a great place for the cooler parts of the year as well as the summer. Also the kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen that we have ever had the pleasure to use on a self catering holiday. The Garden was lovely. All in all a great place.
Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!
Magnifique maison vigneronne très bien équipée. Le jardin est très bien aménagé avec plusieurs espaces pour se détendre auprès de la piscine. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et réactifs. Je recommande vivement !
Simply a wonderful holiday, house and village We're just back from spending a week in this fabulous house in a great little village. The house had everything to make our stay totally comfortable with loads of space for our party of two couples and could have accommodated two or three more people easily. The pool and pool area were great with plenty of loungers and seating with a nice shaded area for refuge from the sun at the hight of the afternoon but best of all there is a great terrace where we spent the warm evenings with a glass or three of our favourite tipple. We were able to join in the fun and celebrations in the local bars as France progressed in the World Cup, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The village itself has all we would want bakeries, a couple of bars and restaurants with pretty good food and all just 1 to 2 minutes walk from the house, there is even a good supermarket 5 minutes walk away. All in all we had a great holiday and can't wait to go back next year, 5 stars from us.
10ème été en France et c'est la meilleure maison dans laquelle nous avons séjourné. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vous détendre et passer un merveilleux séjour. Merci pour cette superbe semaine.
Mas Saint-Martial a tout ce que vous pourriez souhaiter inclus dans le prix et tout était propre et bien rangé à notre arrivée avec un joli panier de bienvenue qui nous attendait. Verteillac est à seulement 10 minutes et a quelques jolies petites boutiques, la région a aussi d'excellents marchés. L'un des meilleurs restaurants que nous ayons trouvés était La Cour des Miracles à Verteillac qui propose une bonne cuisine à un prix très raisonnable. Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires, qui habitent à côté. Ils étaient toujours disponibles si nous avions besoin de quoi que ce soit, mais très discrets aussi et nous ont laissé une totale intimité.
Château du Mas is magnificent. The rooms are well proportioned with high ceilings so always feels cool. The is so much to explore in the grounds and great tuning trails. Great BBQ for outdoor al fresco dining. Huge table under a pergola for long leisurely lunches or dinners. The swimming pool is lovely and a great size for lengths with lots of loungers. Sharp, sharp knives. First time ever in a rental! Huge range cooker which is immaculate. Blenders, graters and simple to use bottle opener! The owners were fabulous! Our children are 9 and 12 and they loved playing the Wii in the playroom. Wish I had found the château when they were a baby and a toddler as tons of toys to occupy them with.10/10. 5 star throughout. Recommended.
The house was great - please thank the owners for putting together such a lovely experience. As you know, we all had a very good time, and there were no real quibbles from our perspective. It’s a wonderful place to spend a couple of weeks
Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine à la Maison des Communes. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et nos hôtes ont tout fait pour nous aider. Frederica m'a même conduit au supermarché à notre arrivée car notre voiture n'était prête que le lendemain. La villa est magnifique, très propre et exceptionnellement bien équipée. Les chambres du jardin sont fabuleuses avec une bonne climatisation et l'eau chaude était abondante. Maureilhan lui-même n'a pas grand-chose à offrir mais nous nous sommes retrouvés très heureux dans la villa. Il y a beaucoup d'espaces extérieurs et intérieurs pour se détendre et nous avons utilisé la piscine plusieurs heures par jour. Nous avons également fait bon usage des vélos, en faisant du vélo dans les villages voisins, les vignobles et le long du canal. La Maison des Communes était une magnifique villa familiale et nous reviendrions très certainement si nous revenions dans la région. Je la recommande fortement.

Wonderful time in a wonderful house. So peaceful here. The house had everything we could possibly want and more besides (including a visiting woodpecker). Laparade night market was a highlight. The restaurant there is pretty fabulous too. We spent loong days by the pool and long evenings on the terrace. Frédérique and Hélène at the shop provided all we needed including homemade lasagne. And Olivia couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you, Mark and Janet.
Château La Roche-Posay is a very special place. The gite is super comfy and well appointed, with fantastic views over the river Creuse. Definitely worthy of its five star rating. Laura and Ian are highly professional, experienced chateau hosts who know how to look after their guests.
Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à la Villa Lavinière, plus une maison qu'une location ! Une virée à Grasse. Un déjeuner à Minerve (superbe crêperie). Abbaye de Fontfroide et déjeuner au restaurant mais il faut réserver. Vieille ville de Carcassonne. Ne manquez pas le petit train, le canal du midi et le marché couvert. Restaurant à Féline-Minervois. Marché d'Olonzac le mardi matin. Une baignade dans la piscine tous les jours. Observer le ciel nocturne. Juste s'allonger sur les transats au bord de la piscine. Merci de nous avoir permis de partager votre maison.
We LOVED our stay at Mas du Château. It is in such a beautiful, peaceful spot and the gite itself is great. Christophe has renovated it perfectly, with everything you could want - a real home from home- and he has thought of every last detail to make his guests comfortable. The pool area is fantastic, with a lovely shaded area to cook/eat outside. We were travelling with a young baby and there was everything we needed in the house for her too, which was brilliant! Christophe was on hand to help during our stay and was so friendly. We would definitely love to go back again. Thank you for such a great stay!
