This beautifully maintained property is less than two hours outside of Paris. We never wanted to leave the grounds, there is everything to keep the kids happy: miles to run, pool, tennis and playhouse. We adults lazed all day by the pool while the children run happy and wild on the enclosed grounds. The owner gave us wonderful recommendations for off the beaten path wine tastings. Make sure she shows you the mill across the stream where they make the best croissants and bread. The layout of the château allows for several families to enjoy a vacation together, while maintaining peaceful, private moments. Best family vacation ever.
The pool has been fantastic and it's such a beautiful garden and surrounding.
Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques ici! La piscine était super, tout comme le temps. La maison était également très bien et très confortable. Le jardin était incroyable, nous vivions pratiquement à l'extérieur. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons vraiment adoré notre séjour ici et je la recommanderai certainement à nos amis et à notre famille.
Nous attendions avec impatience notre semaine ici depuis très longtemps (en raison des restrictions de Covid) et nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Le jardin et la maison sont magnifiques et nous avons tous adoré la piscine. Nous aurions pu rester volontiers dans le jardin toute la semaine mais nous nous sommes arrachés du lieu pour voir Saumur, Villandry et Montsoreau. Nos enfants de 5 et 9 ans ont particulièrement apprécié le Châtau et les jardins de Villandry. Merci pour cette semaine merveilleuse et cet accueil chaleureux - le pétillant était si bon et les roses si belles. Nous espérons revenir.
Après une semaine à Barcelone, c'était un plaisir de trouver cette maison équipée pour une semaine. Nous sommes arrivés avec 4 garçons qui ont profité de la piscine et ont beaucoup joué. Endroit très calme. Belles excursions aux alentours. Très bonne boulangerie à 5 minutes en voiture ! Merci. C'était super !
Perfect peace and luxury. Château Velouse is the perfect place to relax: large, beautifully furnished bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, extensive walled grounds, an orchard, seats tucked away under shady trees, well equipped large kitchen and a heated swimming pool with comfy beds and parasols. The château is far enough from the road to ensure that bird song is the loudest noise you will hear. We had a marvellous week with a large group of friends ( 15 for dinner one night ) and the château never felt crowded. The outdoor dining terrace was perfect of an evening and we sat late into the night laughing, drinking and playing giant jenga! This venue is perfect for a group of friends or family to spend quality time together in beautiful surroundings. You do need a car to get out and about and Bourges is well worth a visit when you can tear yourself away from the pool.

Charming house in the most picturesque hill top village that has been lovingly restored with air con and a pool to help you cool off in the heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and you can find great food either in the village or in Uzes not too far away.
Can't believe the stay is almost at an end. We have had a lovely time and the weather promised poorly but delivered very well, which enabled daily swimming in the brilliant pool. We all enjoyed the games of TT (table tennis) and boules competitions. So many interesting things to do in the surrounding area; we only managed Bergerac twice. Once for a wine tasting in the wonderful Maison du Vin and once for a very enjoyable boat trip. Golfing Black Kheri and the walk around the lake Les Graoussettes. The cave at Les Eyzies was very informative and curious to note the difference in scenery; handles not to be missed! Apart from the BBQ provided, we happened on Thursday Market at Monpazier; simply great and such a pretty place. We also enjoyed the marché gourmand at Villeréal (every Monday from 6.30pm. Bring tablecloth, cutlery and drinking vessels). Their counterparts in Issigeac on Thursdays during summer. Restaurant L’Atelier in Issigeac was a wonderful treat on our penultimate day and we would suggest booking a place at their mini, shared table and great food and plenty of wine.
Emplacement charmant avec une vue magnifique dans un environnement calme et paisible. Installations fantastiques, la maison avait tout le nécessaire et plus encore, une superbe piscine, agréable et chaleureuse, bien entretenue et appréciée par toute la famille. Alan et Madeline étaient toujours disponibles pour nous aider. Nous leur souhaitons beaucoup de bonheur dans leur nouvelle vie en France.

Excellent séjour de vacances, villa magnifique, piscine spacieuse, temps fantastique. Lisbeth, une hôte très serviable, rien de trop problématique, toujours contactée par téléphone, (pour confirmer le départ). Bessan joli village, toutes commodités ici et proche des plages, Pézenas et Béziers. Merci Lisbeth pour 2 semaines de vacances reposantes.

Your house has been such a beautiful place to spend a week of our holiday. We've loved every minute - so much so that we didn't go far from Le Chambarru. The attention to detail was fantastic - from the decor to the 'welcome basket' to our name on the gate. The only thing missing was that we only stayed for 7 nights. Thank you so much - we hope very much to return soon.
We love the design and build of the house and have enjoyed our stay here with our family enormously. The pool has provided a great deal of fun for all and there is so much opportunity for relaxation and enjoying all the local produce!
We had a fabulous holiday in Villa Pey de la Salle. The villa was lovely and so was the weather!
Nous étions de passage pour un week-end entre amis. Christophe et sa femme nous un réservé un accueil très chaleureux ils sont très à l’écoute et attentionnés. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans leurs maison qui est juste magnifique
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour au Mas Saint-Martial. Merci pour votre accueil très agréable et chaleureux. La maison et le parc sont magnifiques et nous avons apprécié la piscine, le badminton, le ping-pong et la pétanque. Nous avons apprécié nous détendre au bord de la piscine dans un environnement calme et paisible. Brantôme est une très jolie ville au bord de la rivière. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne est également un endroit magnifique à visiter, avec sa remarquable église monolithique souterraine. Bergerac vaut le détour pour ses bâtiments à colombages. Un séjour fantastique, merci.
Nous vous remercions tous pour ces belles vacances passées dans votre fantastique maison. Petit-déjeuner dans le jardin, paix et fleurs magnifiques - c'est ce dont nous nous souviendrons toujours. Et peut-être... nous reviendrons un jour.

We had a wonderful stay, the house is very large, designed perfectly, very comfortable and recommended for anyone who loves peace and quiet in a perfect setting. The local town Monsegur is a very short car ride away, or a 20 minute walk. A few lovely shops and restaurants welcome you here. If you love nature there are some excellent walks amongst the grapevines and natural walkways. Evening dining at the house is wonderful as there is a large outdoor space by the private pool. The pool is 10 mtrs and recently installed. Aircon to cool the bedrooms before bedtime makes for a comfortable nights sleep. We have holidayed in this area of France almost 20 times but this accommodation is the best that we have had. All together a perfect, luxurious place to stay, attention to detail here is excellent, Christophe is the perfect host.

An absolute treasure of a place to stay with attentive hosts making sure our trip was comfortable and stress free. It's a home from home with the added delight of the sun, relaxing pool and sitting out of an evening with friends and wine. Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques au Manoir Coteaux. Le jardin était idéal pour que nos enfants et notre chien puissent jouer et explorer et la piscine était bel et bien utilisée tous les jours, même les jours les plus frais grâce au chauffage ! Les gonflables en cadeau de bienvenue ont été très apprécié et fait énormément plaisir. L'espace barbecue offre une superbe vue en soirée. Nous avons séjourné dans le manoir principal et avons apprécié le caractère et le charme de la propriété, tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Un merci spécial à Tracey qui a préparé plusieurs repas au manoir pour que nous puissions en profiter sans avoir à conduire jusqu'au restaurant. Nous nous sommes aventurés à l'extérieur à quelques reprises et recommandons vivement le restaurant Le Lac à Argenton, d'autant plus qu'il accueille les chiens en terrasse. Elanor, Roger et Tracey ont vraiment répondu à tous nos besoins et nous ont bien recommandé sur les choses à faire ainsi que réglé tout problème rencontré. C'était nos premières vacances en famille depuis que le Covid a réduit nos vacances régulières habituelles à l'étranger. L'emplacement et la facilité d'accès pour nous depuis Jersey font désormais des vacances dans une maison en location dans la Loire une alternative très attrayante aux voyages internationaux, et nous nous sentions assez en sécurité partout où nous allions avec les mesures en place, mais aussi grâce à la possibilité de restez loin de la foule et passez du temps en famille dans une belle propriété. Nous le referons très certainement.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. We have so many great memories of our week. With very best wishes.

Whether we were exploring the nearby historic villages, indulging in the region’s incredible food and wine, or simply relaxing on the terrace, every moment felt special.
