At La Picholine, we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!
The accomodation were beyond our expectations, the rooms were large and spacious with an antique feel. Outdoor gardens well maintained and beautiful. Pool area is large and well equipped for our family vacation
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine de vacances à 2 familles. La villa est superb, bien équipée et entretenue. La piscine chauffée est vraiment un plus, les enfants en ont bien profité. Les propriétaires, qui habitent à proximité, sont sympathiques et disponibles. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir si l'occasion se présente. Nous remanions vivement cette location.
Chers Madeline et Alan, merci beaucoup pour ce merveilleux séjour chez vous à Camirout. C'était toujours aussi merveilleux. Cette fois-ci, nous avons visité Pujols : une petite ville vraiment charmante qui vaut vraiment le détour. Nous avons hâte de revenir l'année prochaine. Merci et à dans 50 semaines. Gros bisous.
Well maintained property, any problems rapidly sorted. Proximity of Leclerc a real bonus for the 8 year-old fetching bread in the mornings. A real relaxing holiday for three generations and would happily revisit. For Pure France (having used other of their properties) we would rate it 5 / 5.
Voilà un beau lieu à découvrir. Une irrésistible demeure en parfaite communion avec le paysage et l’environnement des lieux. Calme, charme du lieu, paysage et accueil de Sandie sont et font que le séjour devient magique. Je recommande sans hésiter.

What a wonderful place this is! The views, the sky (the skies!) and a lovingly prepared house. Meryl and Richard have thought of everything, from the best ever (it's official!) welcome goodies to proper cooking tools and much more. All in a beautifully presented house. And such lovely people (and Poppy) too. Highlight 'touristy' thing to do this week: A 50km bike ride along the Canal des deux mers from the Canal over the Garonne (stunning) in Moissac to Valence d'Agen and back. Flat and shaded - all bike lanes - looking at the narrow boats passing sluices. A welcome slowdown from normal hectic pace. Thank you so much Meryl and Richard, we will be back and recommend Le Tournesol very highly.
Thank you for a nice stay in your lovely house with all its historic characteristics. The area has been a pleasant experience with Uzès a charming surprise. We have really enjoyed the garden and pool area. Thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality.
Nous avons passé des vacances parfaites à Bessan. La maison est très belle, les enfants ont profité de la piscine tous les jours. Nous avons particulièrement aimé Uzès et Pézenas qui sont vraiment de belles villes. Merci encore. À bientôt.
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cette magnifique maison ! Nous avons mangé plein de pains au chocolat, mais nous avons compensé avec plein de parties de tennis, de volley-ball et de badminton ! Merci beaucoup !
Le lit nous a offert le meilleur sommeil de notre vie. Nous voulions juste vous écrire et vous remercier tous les deux d'avoir partagé votre belle maison à Saint Paul de Vence. Notre semaine a été magique et l'appartement avec piscine était parfait pour s'y détendre et se relaxer. There were 9 of us meeting for the weekend in the beautiful cottage restored by Christophe's hands. Everything was perfect, from communication before the stay, Christophe's welcome and his legendary conviviality! The place is amazing, it's perfect for sharing special moments with friends and family. The cottage is very well equipped, the decoration is also very beautiful and the place allows you to party well. I can only recommend choosing this place for its charm and the quality of its host Christophe’ Thanks again, Hope to see you soon.

Like a 5 star hotel! What a great week we spent in your lovely home in France. You have done it so well and we really felt we were staying in a family home not simply a gîte. Your attention to detail shows. The garden is beautiful and all the 'toys' were very much appreciated with a week long tennis and croquet tournament! And of course the piece de resistance was the swimming area which was like a 5 star hotel.
Thank you for an unforgettable week! The house and gardens have been a dream. We have been blessed with amazing weather and the pool has made the holiday for the children. We hope to stay again in the near future to explore the area more and leave for home all feeling re-charged and re-energised. Thank you so much for such a warm welcome.
I'd like to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your amazing cottage Maison Bourg Calès. It was simply beautiful and my family and I absolutely loved every second of our stay. The weather was brilliant and there aren't enough words to describe how stunning your cottage is. We would definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to any friends. A great week where 3 generations could spend time together relaxing around the comfortable farmhouse, great pool and expansive gardens. The house was very well equipped and being mostly fortunate with the weather, we ate outside on the terraces making full use of the BBQ provided. Monpazier is delightful and Villereal has a wonderfully colourful market. We thoroughly recommend this property as a holiday choice.
May 2024 A lovely well presented place to stay with everything you need in a cozy, clean house. Pool was lovely and heated for us even in early May. Close to Carcassonne and loads of nice local walks. Peaceful village.
We had a beautiful fou-poster suite with claw footed bath in this attractive country château. We enjoyed a lazy week in glorious sunshine in August dipping in and out of the outdoor heated swimming pool. The château has extensive grounds in which to walk off dinner and is surrounded by peaceful countryside. Bourges was a great place to visit, both cathedral, palace and gardens were a must-see. We were with a large party of friends who took it in turns to cook and we ate outside on the terrace watching the sun go down.
J'ai eu le privilège de séjourner à la Villa Lavinière pendant trois semaines et je me suis senti accueilli et détendu au quotidien. Je recommande fortement faire du vélo dans les villages voisins, visiter les vignobles et profiter du soleil et du vin de la région. Merci de m'avoir permis de séjourner pour cette escapade très spéciale. Je chérirai le souvenir de ces vacances ici.
La Forge est très spacieux et très bien équipé. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la piscine dont nous avons pu disposer à volonté. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte.
