An incredible place to disconnect! The hosts treated us very well and took care very well that we did not lack anything. The house is very comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped and with very comfortable beds. All the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. You can tell that they have thought of everything and that they take care of the details with affection. We leave delighted and in love with the region and the environment that surrounds this dream house.
I liked everything; the location chosen for professional reasons quickly became a second home thanks to the owners, who were very friendly and available, always attentive to our needs and extremely professional. The house is splendid, every detail is carefully arranged.
Spacious and beautiful house and grounds. Shaded areas a welcome balance. Very child and baby friendly. Lovely pool. Everything thought of and provided for a 3 generation family. Toys / DVDs / Books perfectly stocked. Playroom and comfortable seating a huge bonus. The WII very much appreciated! Food delicious and in perfect quantities. Very helpful to have options - prepared and / or catered. Thoughtful and considerate catering for children.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans votre magnifique maison. Tout était très bien aménagé et nous avons profité pleinement de la belle piscine et des espaces extérieurs. Nous avons exploré les villes locales. Nous recommanderions le château de Duras et le marché du vendredi de Monségur. Nous avons mangé au Vigiers Castle Bistro Restaurant qui servait de délicieux repas et des tartes aux pommes. Il était également complet à 20 heures le mardi soir, alors réservez à l'avance. Nous avons également essayé le Mélange à Saussignac. Nous y avons pris le meilleur repas que nous ayons jamais eu pendant toutes les vacances. Des repas très intéressants et copieux. Une excursion d'une journée à St-Émilion a été un autre moment fort à 50 minutes de route, nous nous sommes arrêtés au Château Ambre Tour Pourret pour une dégustation de vin que nous n'avions pas besoin de réserver à l'avance. Des vacances fabuleuses à tous points de vue.

We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!). Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day. We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison correspond en tous points à l'annonce. La vue est magnifique.
We had a really fabulous time at The Garden Cottage. The cottage suited us very well. It had everything we needed. Beautifully styled, appointed and decorated. And the pool was to die for (I was hardly out of it) thank you Stephen for looking after it and the garden so meticulously. The cottage is perfectly situated being off the beaten track and so very peaceful but yet near enough to Thonac to walk down to the village for a drink or a meal. Montignac is only ten minutes drive away - a lively town full of cafés bars and shops. Lovely trips out to visit neighbouring villages all of which claim to be one of most beautiful villages in France. And they all are! Added bonus was being in Thonac for the final of the World Cup. Rob went down to the village and joined the locals watching on the big screen.
Très bon accueil d'Eva et sa fille, instructions claires et flexibilité sur l'arrivée et le départ. Le logement permet de visiter cette belle région pour un bon rapport qualité prix.

What a joy! We had such an amazing week at your fantastic house! We loved the house, the garden and the pool! The weather was perfect. We had a wonderful evening at ‘Poquelin’ and we had dinner at several of the restaurants recommended. (Chez Leo!!) Golf at Cháteau les Merles, what a beautiful place. We would love to come back.

Magical, inviting, soothing, AMAZING! The villa was truly magical, while also invoking a sense of home. The community areas are large enough that you never feel crowded and there are several places to "hide" within the property for true soul searching/peace with a magnificent view at every turn. Very well maintained and quaint restaurants/shops just a short walk away, but not too close(you still feel tucked away). HIGHLY recommend!!
Hébergement extrêmement confortable et élégant dans des bâtiments anciens rénovés. Bel espace piscine à quelques pas d'un hébergement indépendant. Très calme, parfait pour des familles ou des couples. À quelques pas de Montsoreau pour la baguette du matin et une petite épicerie. Cet endroit a tout : lits confortables, bonne connexion Wi-Fi et cuisine équipée. Excellent emplacement dans la vallée de la Loire pour faire du tourisme ou se détendre au bord de la piscine.
We've had a wonderful two weeks here - beautiful weather, everything we could possibly need in the gîte and amazing hosts in Meryl and Richard (and Poppy). We brought bikes and had some great cycling days along the route by the canal and further afield for the more energetic member of the family! Lots of beautiful places to visit - some of our favourites were Lauzerte, Moissac, Auvillar, Monatigu de Quercy, Tournon d'Agennais and Pujols. Nice to just wander around and have a good lunch, then come back for a swim in the pool. We had a great night watching France v Belgium in the World Cup semi final in the square in Bourg de Visa. There was a TV screen hanging out of a window above the bar, the flags are out and beer was flowing. Wish we could stay and cheer France in the final! Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Charming host. Beautiful location with magnificent views with vines and sunflowers. Perfect for running and walking. Good clean pool with covered area alongside so ideal for being in the shade. House very comfortable with all amenities including air con throughout.

What a beautiful place to spend a week. The villa is fabulous, spacious and homely with everything we needed. The location was perfect to explore Collioure on foot. We have never visited this part of France before, so we have loved investigating and had some fantastic meals!
Juste un petit mot pour dire un grand merci aux propriétaires pour avoir rendu nos vacances en Languedoc, Occitanie si mémorables. Non seulement vous avez une très belle maison dans un endroit fantastique, mais votre hospitalité, votre soutien et vos conseils nous ont permis de nous détendre et de profiter pleinement de notre séjour. Certainement nos meilleures vacances en famille!
Pour ceux qui profiteront des Jumelles : cette maison a été un vrai petit paradis pour mon mari, moi et nos deux neveux. Elle est très bien aménagée avec toutes les commodités dont vous aurez besoin. Nous avons passé ces vacances à la mi-juin et avons trouvé que la maison était très fraîche avec une belle brise. Une délicate attention très appréciée: avoir une rose fraîchement coupée dans chaque chambre à notre arrivée. Nous nous sommes retrouvés à tellement profiter de la maison et du jardin que nous avons essayé d'y prendre tous nos dîners (soupers). Nos hôtes étaient très sympathiques jamais intrusifs et nous ont fourni de merveilleuses suggestions en termes de sites à visiter dans la région. Nous avons planifié une journée sur Paris et les deux propriétaires nous ont aidés à nous fournir un planning solide pour optimiser notre temps là-bas pour nos neveux qui n'y étaient jamais allés. Nous recommanderons certainement cette destination à nos amis et à nos proches et nous essaierons même de revenir dans un avenir pas trop lointain. Merci. PS : La douche est super mais demandez l'astuce pour la mettre en route !
What a fabulous find in the middle of sunflower fields ! Lovely hot weather, really appreciated the beautiful pool. The house is so well equipped and welcoming that it provided for a relaxing holiday. It was the perfect balance of great food, excellent company, a little sightseeing and a lot of relaxing by the pool, playing pool and generally chilling in style. Please can we come back...

A wonderful week in the villa! The sun has shone and we've made the most of the pool! Very welcome relief from the heat. Villa is very well appointed - everything has been thought of. Local team were great, a quick response to our queries. We explored Pezanas and the beaches at Portiragnes and Sète - both fabulous! We agree - the welcome wine was a lovely thought - a good introduction to local wines! Thank you for a great week!
Thank you again for opening your home to us this summer. We all really needed a vacation and the house was a superb way to relax and enjoy perfect weather. We all had a great time and fully enjoyed the house and the property. The overall layout of the house and inside the rooms is very thoughtful and was perfect for all of us. We had three families, 4 kids of different ages and a grandma. The different spaces allowed us to handle the different kid routines and moods in a way that gave everyone privacy. The kitchen is large and extremely well furnished. Makes it comfortable to cook for large groups. The pool is actually enormous. The way Patrick takes care of it seems to produce much better results than I have seen in other places: the water stayed clear all the way through. The pool house is an incredibly valuable area, especially because it is so well furnished, this is a serious luxury. The small supermarket in St-Antonin-du-Var is surprisingly good, if you are not a big cook you could totally live off this (they opened on Sunday am!). We also organised a Casino home delivery for the day before we arrived. We used P and Geraldine for 16 hours a week, to get the kitchen cleaned, make the beds, light housekeeping, remove rubbish, clean the BBQ and pool house areas and this made a huge positive difference.
Nous avons passé un séjour estival inoubliable, nous réunissant en famille et entre amis pour célébrer un 50e anniversaire tout en authenticité. Le cadre et l'ambiance de cette maison spacieuse et l'hospitalité chaleureuse qu'elle dégage sont vraiment incroyables. Un endroit idéal pour improviser, jouer et écouter de la musique! Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.
We have had a most amazing week. The weather has been perfect and this beautiful house has been a haven of peace and tranquility for adults and children alike. Needless to say we don't want to go home!
Cannot fault this property. Lovely house and pool - beautifully furnished. Christophe was extremely helpful and discreet (it was not really apparent that they were living next door as we hardly saw them). I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful break with lots to do within easy reach.
Des vacances inoubliables ! Nous n'aurions pas pu passer une meilleure semaine dans ce magnifique château, parfaitement équipé pour la détente et le plaisir, avec des journées au bord de la piscine et des repas en terrasse. Nous n'avons jamais ressenti le besoin de partir, si ce n'est pour les incontournables remontants de rosé : nous avons mangé et bu comme des rois. De très bons souvenirs qui nous accompagneront jusqu'à notre prochaine visite, nous l'espérons !

Je voulais vous dire à quel point nous avons apprécié notre séjour. La maison est belle et nous nous sommes sentis très chanceux de pouvoir y séjourner. Nous avons eu de la chance avec la météo et avons pu nagé tous les jours après nos sorties au marché. La maison est l’une des meilleures (sinon la meilleure) dans laquelle nous ayons jamais séjourné et nous prévoyons d’y retourner dès que nous le pourrons.
