Lovely house with plenty of room for 7 adults plus a 2-year-old. The pool area is superb. Highlights were Brantôme, Périgueux, and particularly the Sunday market in the charming Issigeac – advise going early as parking can be an issue. Thank you and we are already planning a return trip.

A lovely spacious property perfect for large families with lots of different eating and seating areas so you have room to chill. A great pool area with a very large pool and large grounds to explore. Everything you need for a holiday. We were three generations and we all enjoyed ourselves. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the bathrooms plentiful. The updated ones were particularly well done. The location was great just a few minutes drive from Saint Astier and supermarket and restaurants and half an hour or so from Brantôme which is a beautiful place to visit. We would happily recommend this property and would love to visit again.

Fabulous house and pool. Great views, very well equipped, plenty of space. All the family had a really great holiday. Went kayaking on the L'Isle river – great fun. Brantôme was lovely.

Pretty Damn Amazing!
Property just fantastic to look at - picturesque and rustic and modern all together. Property size superb- we were party of 7 including an 85 y.o. mother-in-law (!), two 17 years old young adults, and two couples. We all had both our own space and more than enough to entertain all of us for meals or games. All accessible to the different levels of ability. Immediate grounds beautiful and cornfields at rear a lovely view each morning and evening. No light pollution so night skies splendid- saw 5 (!) shooting stars in one sitting!
Property and fixtures and fittings standard is exceptional... facilities (not that I had intention of doing any washing but...) included everything to make a long stay fully do-able. And a shorter stay (6 days in our case) just so easy – dishwasher etc. fridge size very accommodating.
Pool area superb and nice temperature to cool off in 38 degrees heat we had in late August.
Local area provided excellent supermarket, fabulous markets and good vet to satisfy current Pet Passport requirements if taking dog along. We did and Labrador Stanley loved property too- gardens big enough and secure enough for him to wander in and find shade.
Local towns – Perigueux, Brantôme and Aubeterre-sur-Dronne (fresh water beach !)- all worth visiting.

We stayed at Maison La Civade as a party of 4 adults and 5 children aged 9 to 16 and the family dog. We had plenty of space in the house and the owners were very helpful in adding beds where we wanted them. The house itself is beautiful and the new kitchen is a fantastic focal point. The house was clean and extremely well equipped with great attention to detail. The gardens were extensive and very well kept as well as being fully enclosed so we had no worries about the dog! The pool is huge and kept beautifully. We made great use of the pool house with its shower, fridge and plenty of plastic glasses for refreshments. The house is well appointed in peaceful, secluded surroundings but still close to supermarkets and towns . We had a choice of several outside eating areas for all our alfresco lunches and evening BBQs. The owners, agents and maintenance staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We had thoroughly relaxing holiday and have already recommended Guibaudie to friends!

Maison La Civade and had a wonderful time. The house was lovely, spacious and well equipped. The pool was excellent and plenty big enough for our family of five. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful, but the local village was within easy striking distance for shopping and restaurants and other larger towns are also easily accessible. We had a thoroughly relaxing two weeks and made good use of the surrounding footpaths and bridleways which run very close to the property. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and would recommend the property without hesitation.

Amazing house and pool in a really tranquil setting. We stayed here for a week at the end of August and had an absolutely fantastic week. We were a party of 8, two families with 2 children each and all of them 7 or under. The kids had a ball with plenty to keep them occupied.

Maison La Civade is a beautiful, characterful property! My family of six adults and four children spent a week at Guibaudie in the summer. We had a wonderful time. The property was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The owners had left wine for our arrival and a few essentials in the fridge. The property was in an area that was quiet and peaceful. The farmhouse had lots of character and was set in substantial grounds. Lots of space for children to run around and play. The highlight for the children though was the amazing pool. They played in it for hours every day. It was large in size and just perfect. The adults enjoyed it too! I would definitely recommend Guibaudie, we hope to return. Many thanks.
